Performing some regular health checks on the Flame Belly Girdle Tail lizards (Smaug mossambicus). They are looking gorgeous as usual! 🔥🧡 And there are definitive marks in the proper areas which tell us these are pairing again (male in last photo). Looking forward to more babies of these incredible animals!

How is it possible to be so fast with barely any legs!?!
I planned on pairing this speedster this upcoming season but seems it is more interested in taking off at the speed of light than giving two seconds interest to anything else. I'm thinking this bluey and two others I held back will make better pets than breeders. But they are extremely hyperactive and will be best for someone with a bit of experience. And patience. So much patience. And quick reflexes! They’re not biters... just runners.
