It's 2025 and we've currently got ONE open spot for training - open immediately thru April!

We'd be happy to get your horse started, tuned up, ready for the show pen, work with behavioral issues, etc. - we've got ya! We offer competitive rates, plenty of references, and have an indoor to work in!

We are now located just off HWY 2 in Donnellson, IA and with winter weather horses will have 24/7 access to nice grass round bales!🐴

Wow! We are so, so, SO proud of Rachel Lemke and her boy Dune!

New Years Eve 2024 they were able to achieve something they've been working on for a while. Something that takes a lot of heart, time, communication, trust, and understanding.

Tonight was the night where it all clicked! Congratulations to Rachel and Dune for their successful natural laydown achievement!! If you've ever trick trained you know as well as we do how big of an achievement this is!!

We are so, so happy for you two!!❤️ Keep up the amazing work together!

Rocky(KS Skippin Stones), finished his first show year, 2024, as a 19x Champion by competing in multiple different shows, locations, and disciplines. He competed in halter, showmanship, western pleasure, ranch pleasure, english EQ & pleasure, versatility, jumping, and more! We also competed tackless and bridleless at some shows!

🪨Rocky - Let's pick a Show Name⭐️

Rocky has wrapped up his first show year, 2024, as a 19x Champion. However, Rocky does not yet have a show name! Help us brainstorm a good one to be placed on his very first custom buckle!

Rocky is a 5yr going on 6. He's a grade solid paint geldingl(I was told he is out of well bred APH stock). He was supposed to go to the kill pen before my husband got him and gifted him to me for Christmas in 2020. Rocky does anything and everything. He's trick trained, liberty, western pleasure, Ranch Riding, Reining, sorting, barrels, poles, dressage, cross country, trail, flag race, horsemanship, jumping, in-hand trail, bridleless, and more!

Virtual Shows have picked up in popularity since COVID/2020 with more and more popping up each year! 🥇

There were two Virtual Series we competed in this year, with a total of four we plan to compete in next year! Have you considered Virtual Shows? Not sure how to get started? Don't have a way to video or know how to upload/set it up?

IF there is enough interest, we will be offering in-person "Virtual Show Days" throughout the year. We will set up patterns, help video, coach before/after the video(if wanted), offer tips and tricks, help setup/upload videos, go through the pattern(s) with riders, and so much more for us all to have fun and enjoy!❤️

The Virtual Shows we compete in offer western, english, halter, showmanship, ranch, trail, in-hand trail, jumping, dressage, barrels, and more! Plus they all have end of series/end of year awards!

Now some of you know we picked up this handsome boy last Sunday, but for those of you who have yet to meet him... say hello to our new FSH, Onyx!😍

He's been here for six days, yet, he already offers to play at liberty and even figured out the lay down! We can't wait for the upcoming adventures together!!🖤

Time for the reveal!!! 🤩

Miss Tornado was under the tarp! This pony is quite incredible at liberty - she's so eager, willing, smart, and definitely connected when we play!❤️

Tornado has a huge hoof to play when it comes to our liberty journey. She's helped teach me so, so much, and with the aid of Cory Furlong from MT, starting when I was 12, we have blossomed! Now we can also do teamed liberty with Rocky!

Tornado was the first pony/horse I ever trick trained and played at liberty with. She knows how to sit, laydown, rear, bow, liberty circles, play dead(as seen), and more! She is coming up to being 30 years old this year or in 2025! Man, the time really does go by fast.🐴

Did someone mention Liberty Work?👀

We love that, now there are so many people eager to be learning about Liberty and wanting to grow their connection and communication with their horses!🥰 With that, we do have quite a few people reach out from time to time asking things like; how to get started, is my horse the right fit, what cues do you use, how do you do it?

Well, the answer lies in how well you can effectively and silently communicate with your partner through body language.

At true Liberty you don't have reins, you don't have the use of your legs on their side, your hand on their neck, etc. to help guide and communicate with them. You have your body, your voice, and if desired the use of a whip, ONLY to be used as an extension of your arm.

Through your learned communication with your partner(and each horse WILL communicate differently) you two work together, including over multiple days/months, to build a deeper level of understanding, trust, and communication - through that comes the true enjoyment and feelings of working at Liberty.

While these two can sometimes make it look easy, don't doubt that it's taken lots of sweat, hours, months, and even YEARS to be at this point today!❤️
