TPK and Clefties and Coffee Rescue are going to make the “howlidays” a little more special for the shelter dogs at Hernando. We are going to prepare Christmas Dinner for all of the dogs that won’t have a home for the holiday and are asking for donations to help purchase ingredients. There have been a few very special dogs that have pulled at my heartstrings and Hamlin is one of them. Life has been very unfair to him and he just wants a family. Please share. He is a special boy with a big personality and a whole lotta love.

💔 Urgent Plea for 5-Year-Old Hamlin 💔

We're reaching out with a heavy heart about our sweet boy named Hamlin. This gentle soul has faced unimaginable hardships in his short life, and he needs our help once again.

Hamlin was found tied to a pole, abandoned and alone, and became the longest resident at a rural shelter. Just when his time was running out, Pawlife stepped in to save him on his last day. He was given a second chance at life, but unfortunately, that wasn’t to last.

After staying with a temporary foster, Hamlin was adopted, but when one of the the hurricanes struck our area, his new dad lost everything and couldn’t provide a home for him anymore. Now, he is in a foster home, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he will soon be losing that stability too.

This sweet boy deserves to know love and safety, and we are desperately searching for someone who can offer him a forever home. Hamlin is friendly with people and children, house and crate trained, and great on car rides. He would thrive with a yard to play in, but he’s not a fan of other dogs and we’re unsure how he would do with cats.

If you or someone you know can provide a loving home for Hamlin, please reach out. Let’s give him the stability he so desperately needs. He has already been through so much, and he just wants a chance to be happy.

Courtesy post - This sweet girl was abandoned during the hurricane. She is 10 month’s old and up-to-date on her shots - the owner basically just left her. Please - if anyone is willing to foster. We would take her in (I’m a sucker for brindles) but do not have space now. I was told she will be taken to the shelter soon if they cannot find a home. Please DM me for details. Help us give her a chance ❤️🐾

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure your dogs are on heartworm prevention. We rescued Nora a few months ago, she was heartworm positive, and she has been on meds with HSTB preparing for her first injection today. It is so hard to watch them go through this. They can’t play for months, the injections hurt and they are uncomfortable. The cost of prevention is nothing compared to the pain of treatment. The good news is that it can be cured. It’s just a tough journey. Many thanks to those that have sponsored her treatment. She will be healthy and looking for her family soon ❤️🐾
