A Mutt Named Daisie (the story of BCMR)
When a stray, pregnant mutt was spotted laying in the middle of our back roads, my daughter and I knew we had to provide this mom a safe place to bring her pups into the world. Once Daisie gave birth to twelve healthy puppies, it became our mission to find a home for her and all of her pups. Thus, Blue Collar Mutts Rescue was born. Partnered with another mom

and daughter duo, our mission is to save as many lives as possible for the voiceless animals that are mistreated, lost and/or forgotten in Angelina and surrounding counties in TX. Spay/neutering and microchipping your pets are two important steps that will help control the numbers of unwanted animals as well as help those animals who become lost or stolen find their way back to their loving families.

As 2024 is coming to a close I want to send out a huge thank you to everyone that makes it possible to be able to continue the work we do and help provide the means to save the lives we save. We will have some exciting news coming soon. And on this last day of 2024 one of my sweet friends made me cry happy tears today over the love and support she surprised me with today to help me with my efforts and goals for 2025.
Fighting the fight. Working for change in our community.

Just a pupdate for anyone wondering how the Huntington laundry basket 5 are that we were bottle feeding until our partner Rescue took over. Aren’t they just beautiful babies! 🥰Thankful we were able to be a part of these babies survival and living their best lives. 💙🐾

As 2024 comes to a close and 2025 is upon us we are thankful to all that have fostered, donated and followed our year. If you have ever considered fostering we would love to visit with you. We have some wonderful Rescue Partners that find our babies their furever families but we need help with fosters. Mostly 2-4 weeks, for younger or health reasons if your willing for those cases it may be extended a few weeks.
Looking forward to 2025 and working to make it an amazing year. 💙🐾

It was all hands on deck this last Saturday, June 29. Teaming together to make our clinics a success. And boy did the Community show up! Thank you all for making your pets, fosters, found babies a priority. Vaccinations administered: 114 Microchips: 12 Along with Heartworm testing, nail trims, lots of weighing, surgery forms completed. This could not have been done without all the volunteers present. 💙🐾 Winnie Berry Humane Society of Angelina County Nacogdoches Cat Overpopulation Reduction and Education - CORE And all our amazing volunteers, THANK YOU! ❤️ Special shoutout to Oscar’s Bakery for donating treats for some of our visitors. 💙🐾
