We thought we would post this video, 1of Layla to show everyone WHY we are trying to help her, this is her when not fitting. A lot of people said PTS and the NSPCA were even tagged in the post for cruelty. We are a NO KILL shelter and until we have tried our best that is what we will remain. Our Story

WHO IS PEKINGESE RESCUE OF SA AND WHAT DO WE DO?

Pekingese Rescue was founded in 2010 by Lorraine Smalberger. Pekingese Rescue has been established as a non-profit organization that aims to rescue abused, abandoned, and unwanted Pekingese dogs in South Africa. As an NGO we rely solely on fundraising activities, donations, and volunteers.

The condition of each Pekingese rescued varies greatly from the severely neglected and abused to well-kept and much-loved family pets. However, the latter is the minority not the majority of incidences.

Once a Pekingese is received by our organization, the Peke is taken to a vet that carefully evaluates and provides them with the necessary care. The care, over and above the general care of a dog includes grooming, vaccinations, medical attention, chipping, spaying, and neutering.
