More Breeding activity in the last few days...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is one of my favorite times of year. After lots of preparations, I put my 2025 breeding groups together on 11/17. Have seen a pretty good amount of activity ranging from insane reds to a first ever Ghost x Dh Ghost pairing to my Snow project, Super Zebra Stripes and two different Candy pairings.

Coiled up tail!
I've described this many times but never got a picture before today. When a BRB feels threatened they often will coil up their tail. I believe it's a defensive behavior intended to trick a predator into attacking the wrong "head". Most of the time when I do see it, the BRB calms down fairly quickly. This subadult was just mad....

My first litter of 2024 is now ready to find new homes. This litter came from DH Snows and I got Albino's, Anery's and Normals so the genetics are proven. Just did not hit on the elusive, never before been produced, Snow Brazilian Rainbow Boa.

Available are 2.0 Albino 66% het Anery and 0.4 normals 66% het Albino and 66% het Anery. Willing to do a group deal on 1.2 while they last. PM for details.

It almost snowed here! DH Snow x DH Snow just dropped my first litter of the year. Very impressive litter with 2.2 Albino, 1.1 Anery and 0.4 normal. Great way to start off my season. More to come including more chances at Snow.

I found her this morning perched on the rim of her water bowl with most of her babies still in it. Only a few had left and were loose in the enclosure. Two babies were still in their sacks. Big, healthy, full term babies at 35-39 grams each.

Very nice start to start filling my closet baby rack!

I love this time of year, so many high hopes. Here's something probably new to most of you. Did you know that in the last month or so of being gravid you can hear the baby heart beats with a dopler probe? This is short video of checking for a baby heartbeat inside Breanna, bred by Gabriel. She is due 6/3 so six weeks from this video. Heart rate is normal for a baby BRB at ~ 60 BPM.
