Seeing double? That’s because we have 2 kittens in our care. You’ve been introduced to Stella (left) but our newest intake Elaine (right) just got here last night. Elaine is younger than Stella but we hope after some vet care and correct introductions that Stella and Elaine can be friends. Elaine was found in a ditch here in Louisville which apparently is a popular dumping ground for animals. Thank goodness for the Good Samaritan that took Elaine in. We have Stella’s spay surgery set for the end of July. Now we need your help to get Elaine some vet care. She has some discharge coming from her eyes and we will need to get her some Kitten Milk Replacement. NEW INTAKE: Stella! We weren’t currently taking in any intakes at the moment but when your husband is known as “the guy who rescues cats” at work, you’re bound to help a cat in need. Stella came to us after being stuck in a car for a week! The lady who took in Stella wanted to keep her but her residential pets weren’t fond of that idea. She wanted what was best for Stella. Stella is NOT ready for adoption, and with not having been taking any cats in, we are in need of funds to get Stella her kitten shots and eventually fixed so that she can be ready for adoption. SUSPENDED INTAKES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: I should have made this post months ago, but I was trying to avoid it, but it’s not fair to people inquiring about a surrender to not let people know the truth. Most people don’t understand that I am 1 person who takes in cats in any extra space of my home. I have 0 foster families, and therefore I can not take in more than a couple of cats at a time. As a rescue it is in our policies to help any of our adopters if they can not care for their pet. We have a cat with us and we do not know when her family will be able to take her back in. We are happy to hold on to her, but this also means we can’t take in any cats. I always refer people to Kentucky Humane Society as they have more resources and money than I do. We will update our website to reflect this change and deeply apologize that we can not currently help any cats at the moment. We hope you understand. 🧡 Old photo of Pumpkin who we miss deeply.

UPDATE: Onyx and Slate: Their adopters report that They are doing very well! Slate is much braver now and has let me pet him several times. Onyx is a lover and has been very happy to get extra attention. Both boys are playful and love to cuddle. We are SO happy for our Walmart boys. 🩶🖤
