Had a blast at the pet-themed biz expo put on by the Richland Chamber of Commerce! Thanks to all who stopped by and toured the truck! We got sponsors for 5 cats and 1 dog to get a free spay/neuter! Yay! We also interviewed 2 new drivers for the truck. Not sure who we are going to hire! 🤔

Pick up in Ontario, Oh. Most house cats are in dire need of more exercise! This is a way to provide exercise for your cat, and your donation will help other cats! SORRY, APPOINTMENTS ARE FULL!!

Attention unspayed large breed female dogs living in low income households!! We have room for 2 or 3 of you to get spayed this Monday (2/17) in Ontario, OH. For only $100, you will get spayed, tested for heartworms and tick disease, a rabies vaccine, nail trim, pain medication, and a million pats on the head! . You must weigh over 50lbs and be relatively healthy. Your pet parent must have proof of low income such as a Caresource card, Medicare card, etc. Please comment below if interested!

See this pile of surgical instruments? This is how many it took to operate on the 98 cats that participated in our recent Community Cat Day! ALL of these instruments were cleaned, wrapped into surgical packs, and sterilized FIVE times to get us through the day. All this work was done by ONE volunteer who managed to keep up with 5 vets operating simultaneously! Arguably, the worst job in the house! THANK YOU CAMERON !

COMMUNITY CAT DAY RECAP- 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛Thank you to the 18 volunteers, including 6 vets, who gave up their Saturday to make Community Cat Day #6 a success! We spayed and neutered 98 homeless and low income cats that day. Most of the female cats were in heat and at least 5 were already pregnant. 😢 We prevented a bijillion kittens from being born into homeless circumstances this spring. 33% of people with confirmed appointments did NOT show up so we were able to help all the walk-ins. The people who did show up were kind, patient, and grateful! We had a wonderful day giving back to the community and loving on some beautiful but unfortunate cats. Boy, how we wish they all could find homes!!!

If you were lucky enough to secure an appointment for our next Community Cat Day this Saturday, a few instructions:

1. If you are trapping cats, you will have to check the traps frequently during the night on Friday. Please put the trapped cat in a warm place for the remainder of the night. Sorry, but it’s WAY too cold to leave a cat in a trap all night.

2. Because of the cold, please leave the cats in your vehicles until we are ready for them to enter the building. You may fill the paperwork out in your car as well. When you arrive, simply come to the front door for a number and your paperwork.

Here is the information on our 6th Community Cat Day. Please read the flyer carefully as a few things have changed. In order to participate in this event, you must be able to provide shelter after the surgery! It is too cold to turn these cats back outside immediately afterwards. Also, this event is for stray, homeless, and feral cats and cats living in verifiable low income households ONLY! It is not for owned cats- those cats should visit a local veterinarian! 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐈
