Paws & Claws is a licensed, locally owned and operated pet care company based in Virginia Beach, VA. We cover the majority of Virginia Beach and into Norfolk & Chesapeake. Currently need sitters in the northeast area - North End up Shore Drive and around First Colonial. We are looking for professional and enthusiastic animal lovers to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for freelancers, stay-at-home moms whose children are in school, college students, substitute teachers, retirees, school bus drivers, or anyone with midday availability.
Our ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate about animals, has professional and/or personal experience with pet handling and care, lives in or near our service area, and is seeking employment of 1 year or more.

PLEASE NOTE! Preference will be given to applicants with:
Monday thru Friday 10AM - 2PM availability, with occasional weekends or evenings
References, with relevant experiences
Professional dog walking experience
Primary residence in or very close to our service area
To be considered for this position you must:
LOVE working with animals!
Have basic pet care and dog walking knowledge
Be comfortable with various dog sizes, breeds, and temperaments
Be reliable and punctual
Have the ability self-manage
Be able & willing to walk in weather including heat, cold, rain or snow
Be able to lift and carry at least 15 pounds
Have a valid Driver’s License
Have a reliable, insured vehicle that you do not share
Own a smartphone with a data plan and a working camera
Provide professional references
Pass criminal background and driving record checks
Complete a screening process and on-the-job interview
