We provide a safe, permanent home for special needs seniors & hospice dogs. We are limited on how many dogs we take in; this is based on needs and funds. All dogs are provided constant vet care and necessary medications, including heartworm & flea/tick prevention. We are always in need of: p*e pads, dog food, frontline (dogs up to 22 lbs). Half hour after posting cutie Roscoe he started screaming in pain. I took him to the ER Vet in Nashville and the pain was from his disc issues/nerves. Any pain prior was minimal and controlled with meds & therapy. We had no other options at that point but to let him go. I will never let a dog suffer and he clearly was, I couldn't get to the vet fast enough. My heart is broken, I was so hopeful since he was making progress. He was constantly with me in the last few months since I had to carry him to potty, get water, etc. I knew what each little "squeak" meant! No more pain little man, you are running now...

Roscoe did great with therapy Tuesday. Today he couldn't even stand during our home sessions. At least he looks cute!

Roscoe update... he goes from "ok" to completely immobile. Changed his meds and I got him special braces @ 70.00 each. My innovative hubby made those braces so I was able to return the purchased ones (which were subpar for that amount of $). We have an appt with a specialist on the 13th, after that we are out of options. For now I hold him up to potty and take him to the food & water bowls multiple times a day. As long as he is content and not in pain, we will continue to do this....
