Cherry is being VERY vocal about how happy she is to be back home!! When the vets told her she wouldn’t make it through the first night, Cherry said “I got this!”
We are so so so beyond happy that ALL of the fruit kids are back home and recovering! Honestly, we didn’t expect this. It’s incredible that they all made it through!!

GREST NEWS!! As of this morning, Cherry, Honeydew, and Mango all seem to be improving! Their fevers are beginning to break and they’ve even been eating and drinking on their own. While we’re tempted to call this a miracle, the truth is, the diligent work of their foster mama and the veterinary teams at both MedVet and TAHO saved these kittens’ lives. We are keeping them hospitalized for another day just to be sure they don’t take a turn but for this first time this week, we have hope they will all pull through!
Unfortunately, we did have to admit a fourth kitten to TAHO this morning. Bianca, who was introduced to the fruit litter just days before they got sick, showed signs of a fever this morning and vomited. She will be receiving the same care as her foster siblings and we are hopeful she will make it through this as well.
As you can see, Apple is still at home with her foster mama (notice all that PPC!!) and doing well. She is monitored for temperature and weight hourly so we can catch any signs as easily as possible.
Now, let’s talk about the less adorable side of all of this… the money. 💸 We are BLOWN AWAY at the support we have received this week. In the last few days, we have raised almost $1500. 😱 THANK YOU!! As amazing and generous as that is, our current estimate at TAHO is $2700. Keeping four kittens there today as well will likely take that to over $3500.

Meet B I A N C A 💕
This innocent little lady was dumped and abandoned outside of someone’s home late at night. Luckily, the home owners found her and happen to be the parents of one of our Board Members, meaning this kitten was very quickly placed into the love of our foster home. She was so scared and covered in fleas!
After a nice warm bath with dawn dish soap and fresh food and water, she has turned out to be one of the sweetest and most spunkiest kittens! We are guessing she’s roughly 9-10 weeks of age, she’ll be joining the Fruit Kittens 🍎 after her 2 week quarantine. She’s going to be spayed and vaccinated on November 9th and then she’ll be ready for adoption.
She would make a great addition to any home. How can you say no to that little squeak!? 🐭

This little extra thumb purring fuzzy ball is stealing our hearts and we can hardly stand it! He is so sweet and will meow and chirp at you to get your attention. He loves to be pet and held like a baby. He is a very sweet boy and is most definitely ready to find his forever home.
He does interact well with dogs as his foster home has 2. He actually runs and jumps over the gate to go be with them. He would also do great in a home with another cat to play with - or he could be adopted with one of his siblings.

Joey is the last Friend’s kitten still available for adoption. He had a minor leg injury that has healed well and had an X-ray to recheck this week and he got cleared for adoption!
Joey is currently being fostered with other cats and a bigger dog. He gets along with them all and would do best in a home with other pets. He does have lots of built up kitten energy and loves to wrestle with his foster cat siblings.

Who loves TNR? We do!
This week we went back to the Dublin Road colony where we trapped 3 adults + we rescued 4 little kittens. The adults went to the vet yesterday where they were spayed/neutered and received their rabies vaccine. The 4 kittens are in a foster home socializing until they are of age to be vaccinated and fixed. They are doing very well! We will introduce them later this week.
Today we went back to the colony to return the 3 adults and we happened to catch it on video. Check it out!
TNR {Trap, Neuter and Return} is SO important and is the most humane way to get a handle on the outdoor feral cats. Our rescue is proud to be heavily involved with this practice.
