Spring has sprung in Stoughton and wildlife calls are on the rise. Please be advised wildlife such as foxes, coyotes, and raccoons have had their babies or are about to have them. Their presence during the day may be more noticeable as they have to provide for their young. Please keep your distance and enjoy their beauty.

Rabbits have also had their young. Rabbits tend to burrow in the ground and cover their babies with hay and grass. You will almost never see the Mother as she doesn’t like to give away the location of her babies. If you come across them please leave them be I assure you the mother is around.

Also in another month the spring fawns will be born. If you see one in your yard, don’t be alarmed as their mother has deemed your yard safe for her babies and will be back at dusk to get them. Fawns have no scent and therefore predators can not smell them.
