The next breeder in our showcase is Valkyrie Wolfalikes.
We first learned about the breed in 2010, and that is also when we visited Honiahaka Northern Inuits in Essex. It wasn't until three years later that we brought our first girl, Selune, to Sweden, where we lived at the time.
In 2014, we moved to Cambridge, UK, and after a while, we felt it was time for Selune to get a little sister.
In 2017, an outcross litter between a Northern Inuit and a Tamaskan was born in Germany, and we were lucky enough to get a puppy from that litter. Tesla arrived to us later that year, and our journey to become a breeder began.
After Tesla had completed all her health tests - which she passed with flying colours - we bred her in early 2020. The pups were born one week after lockdown, which wasn't ideal for a first-time breeder. Tesla was a great mum, and the pups turned out great for being born under such a difficult time. We are so proud of how they have developed.
We kept a girl, Aliy, from the litter, the only light timber one, who also had blue eyes.
We intended to breed Tesla again in 2022, but life happened. Instead, we brought the next Northern Inuit home from Honiahaka, a wonderful timber girl called Tiabeanie. We hope that she will pass the health tests so we can add her to our breeding program, and we are (hopefully) expecting a litter from her in 2025.
In early 2023, we relocated to Aberdeenshire in, Scotland.
We are expecting our last litter from Tesla in early 2024 before she will retire. You can read more about that mating on our website.
All pups at Valkyrie Northern Inuits and Wolfalikes are brought up in a home environment using Puppy Culture.
