A closer look at our standard vetting process is outlined below. This comprehensive approach ensures that our rescues are healthy and happy before they're available for adoption, so you can seamlessly integrate them into your family. This process also safeguards the health of everyone at our FURcility and in foster care, preventing the spread of illness, parasites and more.
As you know, we rescue animals in need. It's rare for a rescue to require only minimum vetting. Typically, they're sick, injured, or need extensive dental care or other medical attention. We operate on a not-for-profit basis, relying solely on donations and fundraisers to cover vetting costs.
Our donations and fundraisers also support the operational expenses of our FURcility, including utilities, trash removal, and essential supplies like cleaning materials, litter, and food. Furthermore, we utilize donations and fundraisers to fund vital community programs, such as spay/neuter assistance, TNR assistance, emergency vet care for long-term pet owners, and more.
Running this Rescue is a constant source of stress, worry, and hard work. It's not a 9-to-5 job or a part-time commitment – it's a way of life. We dedicate ourselves to this cause every day, driven by our passion for helping animals in need.
When you adopt from FUR Animal Rescue, it saves two lives - the one you adopt, and the one we are able to help next. Thank you ❤️
