The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee is an established 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing. We rely solely on the kindness of our donors, and the income of fundraisers, partnerships and grants to sustain our establishment. For more than a decade, we have pulled Boston Terriers from deadly and desperate situations. We feel it's our obligation to give these dogs the care

they need - temporarily until they find a home, or for life. Many of the dogs come to us broken - sometimes emotionally and other times physically from abuse or neglect. Our network of volunteers and foster homes has provided assistance to thousands of Boston Terriers, Boston Terrier mixes and other dogs in need. Our foster-based outreach means that rescued dogs get the one-on-one home life they desperately need and deserve while awaiting their forever families. We feel that the lives of all dogs, and in our circumstance the lives of the "American Gentleman," should be respected, preserved and cherished. All donations made to Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.

-We are looking for experienced foster to help w Opie Jax.... he is being displaced from his 3rd home in 4-6months. He is acting out and seeking attention. He is a loving sweet frencherton whose house manners are finally improving. He is acting out now, likely due to the frequent displacements ...

🐾 He is a 4yr old Frencherton who is working on his indoor manners but is create trained. He knows to sit at the door for business and his marking habits are improving by the day! We are looking for a family aware of those needs; he is young, with consistent guidence, very likely to improve.

Opie gets along with other dogs but has been picking fights in his current foster… attention seeking behavior that again could improve but does need time guidence and space, maybe no cats & prob no kiddos. He loves to play with toys, bones, special foods like pumpkin 🎃 He is good on a routine , Takes good baths He is Stubborn but good boy. He will need a family understanding to time being put in w him being jumpy w new people & the true need to have space and decompress

Last week our team welcomed a very special named Paloma from the shelter🫶🏼 She is likely 15yrs old, has an eye mass to be evaluated & was having trouble standing / walking and suffering a cough 😷🤒

Initial vetting / Xray results diagnosed Palmona w Pneumonia. Soo her foster momma has been doing spa style bathroom steam treatments 🧖🏻‍♀️🐾💨 & also syringe feeding to assure meds are properly ingested daily ❤️‍🩹. The eye mass is next up, vet preferred to see her health improve first.

Our sweet lady is doing a little better each day. Still have to syringe feed her some but eating a little more on her own. She walked out of crate and outside to yard by herself today. ❣️❣️
