Apologies for being quiet over the last couple of months. We lost our beloved labrador in August and whilst we have still been grooming, we haven't kept up with this page. Below we have some returning customers, a puppy groom and a handstrip. Not all our clients give us permission to post photographs of their dogs and we respect that, otherwise there would be a few more to share with you! Rest assured, we are still here to pamper your pooches! 🐾

The heatwave is set to continue in parts of the country with temperatures reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius tomorrow. 🌡️

Sadly, we're still seeing a rise in cases of heatstroke in dogs so please make sure pets are kept cool throughout the day.

We'd love to see some photos of your pets 'chilling' out and keeping cool despite the hot weather. 🐾☀️

Today we met this sweet little Sprocker. She didn't like the dryer much but she did like lying down! Refreshingly though we were pleased to find that there was barely a knot in her coat. That's what we like 😊 🐾

We recently welcomed this lovely lady for a pamper. Considering she is 14 and not familiar with a grooming salon, she was the perfect customer! 🥰

With the weather due to warm up in the next few days please be mindful of when you walk your dog. Elderly dogs and short nosed dogs in particular are not able to tolerate the heat so well and if you can't place your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds, it's too hot for your doggo's feet!

This gorgeous girly came in for a pampering. She was as good as gold and loved a tummy rub! 😊🐾

This charming fellow helped me decide to become a dog groomer. He came with me to a taster day at college and I haven't looked back. He was on that day, and still is, a perfect gent!

In for his first groom since January due to Lockdown, it was a pleasure to welcome him as the first groom in my newly refurbished salon.

An interesting article to help you understand the importance of keeping your dog's coat tangle free. I use Mutneys products, they are a family run business and so helpful. 🐾

Why Dog Grooming?

After a period of illness, work wasn't the same. Numerous factors lead me to investigate the possibility of retraining and dog grooming had previously been suggested to me. I had grown up with dogs, never been without a dog and also home boarded dogs. I booked myself on a taster day to see how I coped with being in a classroom environment and to see if I thought it might be something I could do. We had to take a dog with us... both of mine were smooth coated and didn't require much grooming so a friend very kindly lent me her very hairy Cocker Spaniel. The rest, as they say, is history!
