My favorite thing though was her jewelry box. Mom had every accessory you could want, from bakelite pins in the shape of red Scotty dogs to black onyx necklaces, fuchsia cascading earrings. I quickly learned the importance of accessories. I developed a love for all things antique and scoured flea markets with my dad to find estate jewelry and vintage clothes. The feeling of finding a jewel in the
midst of all the cluttered selection, made me feel like I was buying something special. Years later, I took a job at a well known boutique. I loved being around all the latest styles and trends. I watched stylists come in and pull pieces for television shows and photo shoots and learned how to pair each item with something just different enough to showcase your own style. The store closed, and I couldn’t help but think to myself ‘I can do this.’ And that is how Blueprints of Style was born. I have carefully chosen the designers on my site, so that each brings a new element of style and fun to your wardrobe. My goal is to have anyone who is looking for the perfect present, or even a simple statement piece that completes their wardrobe to find it on Blueprints of style.
