True Blue Celadon - coturnix quail that carry two copies of the celadon gene. Celadon is not a color of quail, BUT quail who carry the gene are often referred to in that manner. Ales and Quail now has Gingers. Our original "Ginger" has been cloned and curated into a brand new line and we could not be more excited to spread the love to you!. Ales and Quail originally acquired our own sweet Ginger from South West Gamebirds German Sparkly Collection. Through Mike Rose's hard work and superior understanding of genetics, he along with Thieving Otter Farm officially launched the Ginger Collection this week and we have the privilege of having them in our covey here at Ales and Quail.

Hatched out these handsome homozygous sparkly fellas. The first (left) is from Thieving Otter Farms - beautiful new color, calm little dude. The 2nd is our Ales & Quail line - looking like jumbo (pretty consistent in our line) calm and good to the ladies. I Love them both and couldn’t decide who to keep! So, our lucky customer Elisabeth got to decide! Which is your favorite?
