Rudy does love to escape! He always comes back, though. He is chipped and several neighbors have brought him back home. I think he misses being outside. Or maybe it's the baby bunny, bird or 2 mice he has left as "presents" on the back patio! 🤢

Rudy had his first vet visit and our 1st grader tried her hand in cursive with writing his name on the exam room chalkboard. He had ear mites and we found out he is FIV positive. He also got his shots, then he laid on my bed after coming home and napped.

This is the day we brought Rudy II home. My husband went and picked him up, expecting him to freak out in a car. He was too big for our carrier, but this big guy was completely chill and and comfortable in the car. Rudy came into the house, sniffed of everything and then made himself at home.....on my bedroom vanity. 😂

So, I mentioned in my last post our last cat, Benji, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Our home was so devastated, I knew it would be a long while before our hearts would be ready to accept a new cat in. That long while was less than a month. Meet Rudy II. Our 6 year old named him, as she barely remembers when the first Rudy went to Heaven. Rudy is a rescue, as you can tell. He was clearly a Tomcat at one time, with the scars on this face and one ear is a bit deformed. We are amazed at how gentle and sweet he is. The most surprising is how much he love the kids. When my 3 year old son cries (which is a lot!), Rudy will come to him and lay with him or rub his body against him. He tries to comfort them any time the kids are crying. He's made a great addition to our house!

Hi Crazy Cats fans!! Sorry I haven't posted in a while....but our hearts have been broken. Back in March, the last of our 5 Crazy Cats went to Cat Heaven. Benji had been sick. When we took Benji to the vet, we never dreamed we wouldn't be bringing him home. Our three year old son, Jackson, went with me to the vet. He sat on the floor to comfort Benji. This was the cat who laid his head on my pregnant belly, wrapped his body around it, and purred. This was his boy......and this is their last picture together. RIP Benji.....we will miss you!

So, how do you have a page called Crazy Cats when your house is now empty of cats? It feels like a fraud and my heart didn't feel like ever opening to another cat.......although I didn't see that being realistic. It just hurt to see 5 go in less than four years. They were older, but still....we get so attached. I can look back now and remember the good times. I see pictures and smile more than feel sad. I knew it would be a long time before I was ready to have another cat.......(insert laugh here) Be prepared to meet our new addition soon!

Does anyone want these? They are cute little hat costumes for cats. They could probably be used for small dogs, too. Clearly, my cats were not impressed by them and refused to wear them. It's a lion, chicken, dinosaur and nautical hat. If you want to pay a couple of bucks for the shipping.....I will mail them to you.
