BISCUITS
As I ran around like a maniac yesterday, I passed the street I was supposed to turn on. I made a turn onto a subdivision to turn back and witnessed a young couple trying to place this kitten in back of their covered pickup.
I knew what they were going to do and they said they could not keep her so naturally they were Going to go dump her somewhere.
She actually enjoyed the ride in my Jeep while I’m trying to figure out where I’m going to put her.
Long story short, Tnx to our awesome fosters Irma and Hanna, ( was actually on my way to their house ) they agreed to foster her along with the other 13 they are already fostering for us.
Lord, You do work in mysterious ways! I made that turn at just the right time to save Biscuits life🙏 She will be up for adoption soon❤️
P.s. can I have a week from Tues off, pls lord!

THESE BABIES WERE JUST DUMPED ON US. WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH WORKERS TO FEED THEM CONSTANTLY. CAN ANYONE PLS HELP US!
WE CANNOT KEEP UP WITH ALL THESE ANIMALS THAT KEEP GETTING DUMPED ON US .

November is National Adopt A Senior Pet Month.. a month dedicated to helping older pets find loving forever homes.

It is a sad fact that senior pets are often the last to be adopted from shelters, putting them at an increased risk for euthanasia. When you adopt a senior pet, you’re not only welcoming a lifetime of love into your home, you’re also saving a precious life.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, consider opening your home and your heart to an older dog or cat in need. Or if you can’t make a permanent commitment at this time, please consider fostering a senior pet. 🐾❤️

August 26th is National Dog Day, but here at Yaqui we believe every day should be “Dog Day”.

Here are some ways you can celebrate Dog Day:

• Adopt a dog from your local shelter or rescue organization.
• Volunteer at your favorite local shelter by walking or bathing dogs, cleaning kennels, or anything else they may need help with.
• Make a donation to your favorite animal shelter. Contact them to ask what they are currently in need of.
• Write to your congressman and ask that they support the ban of puppy mills and gas chambers in your state.
• Help out an ill or elderly neighbor by walking their dog.
• Most importantly, enjoy every minute you get to spend with your dog(s), because they love you so selflessly and unconditionally.

May 20th is National Rescue Dog Day.

According to the ASPCA, approximately 3.3 million dogs enter shelters every year.
Rescue dogs often overcome extreme obstacles and yet provide comfort, security, and friendship as family pets. It’s hard to imagine a more helpful, worthy companion.
Save a life.. adopt a dog. If you are unable to adopt, consider fostering for or volunteering at your favorite shelter.

These babies were found yesterday at a property behind the Yaqui Ranch. Not sure where momma is or how they survived this long, considering there are coyotes, snakes, and hawks.
They will thrive better in a home setting. If you can foster or would like to adopt one, please let us know.

Good Morning Rescue Friends! A furry reminder we will be at Petco in Edinburg April 27th from 1-4! Agatha will be there ❤ Agatha was saved from a very rural neighborhood where many pets were being poisoned or shot. Her owners didn’t want her to be next so they sought help! She is good with other dogs and Loves people. She’s about 1 year old and we definitely encourage pre applying if you are interested in meeting this sweet girl! This is so easily prevented 😔 If you want your pets to live longer, healthier lives, please spay and neuter them!

In observance of FEBRUARY as SPAY/NEUTER AWARENESS MONTH, here's another reason to spay your dog. PYOMETRA. Pyometra is a common and FATAL disease that exclusively affects female dogs that have not been spayed. Both dogs pictured are alive thanks to being spayed. The only way to prevent and to treat pyometra is by spaying.
