Met new doggy kiddo in the town,Rip.
His owner and Rip learned the foundation to help them communicate better in further training and today we had little social catch up with big boy Maverick.
It wasn't much playing but the boys were happy to hand out with Mavi leading this duo and showing Rip the ropes.
Mavi showed his assertiveness around stick (high value for him) and Rip understand the limit.

How cute is this duo older wiser Lulu and happy eager Whoosha.
The boy is super excited when you coming to visit.He will greet you with happy staffy bouncy /jumpy/mouthy style which is not really that pleasant for us.
Today we did a few focus exercises and set calm routines to help this boy to start to relax and settle .

After Freya got few negative experiences with dogs rushing up to her while walked on leash she become a bit unsure and selective around other dogs.
Today Freya social needs were fulfilled and with Harry's help she started building her confidence and positive associations.

I do work with DRH and I have to admit that from years we didn't have such a critical amount of dogs waiting for a new home like now.
There are so many easy going dogs who waiting months for this lucky moment to leave a shelter gate behind. Life in shelter is very stressful and impacts the dog behaviour. Despite hard work of our dedicated volunteers,these poor dogs still living in such a unnatural environment under chronic stress with mental and physical needs not met, with limited sleep,human contact and socialisation.
Please if you consider to add a dog to your family,visit rescue organisations close to you.
The rescue operate based in kennel environment and foster homes.

It was Freya quality time this week.
We had couple of our regular outings and she was lucky to made a new friends with two boys.
Her social needs were fulfilled as both plays were even and enjoyable for all dogs.
The social interactions are so important for the well-being of our fur friends.
Good play will buzz the serotonin level in the brain,will drop extra access of energy ,make dogs more relaxed and content.
