Karen's Critter Care Hi, my name is Karen. Pet sitting kind of fell into my lap, and I'm really enjoying it. I love animals, and they seem to like me too.

Going away and worried about your fur babies? I can care for them in your home, and even stay the night if you like. I take on clients all over HRM. However, for the following areas I will only do overnight stays: Dartmouth, Cole Harbour, Sackville, and Bedford - because of the travel involved. I can do visits all over Halifax and Herring Cove. I can handle up to 2 medium dogs at once. Also, I can

look after 1 large dog. No limit on cats, bunnies, or other pets that don't need to be walked. I had Animal First Aid training.

This is embarrassing, but here goes: I have a booking marked in my phone calendar for December 26 to December 31. I thought it was for a particular client, but when I texted to confirm, they replied that we had never talked about it. My phone sometimes auto-populates fields when I set up a booking, so maybe that's what happened here.

A short silly video. I turned on my camera, and Brady grabbed the chucker with the ball. These guys were such good dogs and I had a very good time with them.

About Karen’s Critter Care

I started looking after other’s pets in 2017, on a casual basis. In 2019 I made it official. Pet sitting kind of fell into my lap, and I really enjoy doing it! I love getting exercise by walking dogs, and of course playing with pets is always fun.

I live in Halifax, and I can travel to anywhere in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Lower Sackville, and Herring Cove. If you live further away, we can make travel arrangements.

Pictured above is George, he belongs to close family. I started out by looking after him, then word got out, and suddenly I had a few clients. I sometimes call him “King George” because everyone who sees him on the street loves him.

I took the St. John Ambulance Pet First Aid course, which was very informative. I have experience giving pets pills (in a pill pocket). I also used to give insulin shots to the family cat years ago.
