It's been a very stressful 2 weeks. I'm trying to keep my issues in line while dealing with everyone else's medical and make sure that everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there. I thank the heavens every day that Dusty is here to remind me to take care of my self. Just praying things work out for the best and that i can handle everything going on.

Dusty is my co-pilot all this week. With all the appointments for everyone and all the crazy crap going on, she has been amazing dealing with my stress and all the last minute stressful changes. I love this little dog. She is a blessing.

"Excuse me mom but you have me the bed that you used for me at the groomers. I really do not want to lay down. I'm about to have to alert to you in a few minutes anyway." 😆 🤣. I have her the down stay command. She didn't want to lay on this bed. I did allow her to sit because I knew she was about to alert to a dropping blood suger. She did sit on the thing. 😆

When it's 2 am and Dusty come licking your face..... well dang. That's really high. I know my body is under a lot of stress but this is just ridiculous. Let's hope this goes down soon so I can get some sleep tonight. Thank you Dusty for the face bath and the alert. 😆

It's nail time for someone. I thought I was being stealthy when I got the thing, but Dusty had other plans. Chris spotted her trying to hide. Poor girl. She finally came out of hiding with Chris's help.

My 6-month checkup turned into a family affair when two others needed medical attention that day. Luckily, Boliver Family Care Center accommodated them after my appointment. As the family's medical caretaker, it's challenging to prioritize my own health, but our primary care team makes sure I do. I was stressed, but they helped me stay on top of things.

We all know Dusty is timid around big dogs, and honestly, who can blame her? She's been attacked in non-pet-friendly places where only service dogs are supposed to be. I kind of don't blame her for being a little skittish. So, we're working on building her confidence that she's OK and I'll protect her. She's doing great with that training. Well, my niece has brought her German shepherd, Remi, and he's really good around little dogs. Dusty did really well yesterday and most of today. But this evening, this little stinker wasn't happy that Remi was stealing the spotlight and playing with his toys. She waited for him to trot by so she could sneak up and nip his heel. She missed, and I fussed at her just as she was going for his tail. I don't think she was trying to hurt him, but she was telling him to stop stealing her thunder. I'll be keeping a close eye on her tomorrow. On the bright side, Faithe couldn't care less about Remi. She's used to big dogs. It's hilarious how different these two are.

I just have to share a funny story from this weekend. So, Chris and I took our little buckling, Double, to meet his new family on Saturday. After the meetup, we headed to an antique shop to check it out. While we were browsing, I asked Dusty to back up, but this sweet lady thought I was talking to her and apologized before backing away. I felt awful for her! I apologized and explained that I was asking Dusty to make room. We all had a good laugh about it. Then, we came across a young boy looking at toys, and Dusty decided to sniff his leg. I told Dusty to leave it, and the poor kid jumped back and said 'yes ma'am.' I felt bad for startling him! I explained that Dusty was just curious, and I apologized for scaring him. I've got to remember to say Dusty's name before giving a command from now on!

I went in to go to the bathroom and get a snack. Dusty went to high ground to be able to keep an eye out for me. Poor Chris was trying to work. Dusty said nope.
