It is always the favorites. With livestock comes deadstock. 😔💔

Rex in Wonderland's Lavender, my lilac doe that I feel will only get better with time as her mother did.
Not perfect, but working towards SOP. We all start somewhere & I am proud of the rabbits I have produced and chose to grow out. Excited for fall pairings. 💜

Flowers grown at my home.
Sunflowers, cactus (such a beautiful flower) and 4 O'clocks, some of my favorites! The fragrance is like perfume! Brings in so many hummingbirds & butterflies. I also have a massive Lantana bush, morning glories & 5 big rose bushes! Yes, most are invasive, but my land & I love them as do all the little critters, especially pollinators! ❤️🦋🐝

Beautiful Ezra. He is my favorite rabbit. So sweet, love his ruffus. One of those rabbits that will live his life here with me. He has given me some gorgeous high ruffus kits. Can't wait to watch them grow out. 🧡🖤🤍

Exciting litter today! Cabe's Chip Amber buck @ Childre Rabbitry x Lia Blue doe from Fuhr Farm! Nice pairing, can't wait to see how this litter turns out!
I'm guessing on colors here, 4 lynx, 1 Amber, & an Opal. 🤞🏼 that we get at least 2 really nice rabbits that will help improve our barns!
Please correct me if I'm wrong on colors!

Theo here laid out relaxing during his tattoo. Clearly he was in need of some ink therapy! 🤣🤭 I feel that in my soul Theo!
I tattooed my first rabbits today! A litter of mini rex & lilac otter rex! Didn't even have to wrap them up, every one was super chill, with the help of numbing spray!

4 of my 5 Jr Rex in Wonderland rabbits.
No they are not perfect, but I am proud & excited to continue watching them grow! Red doe is 5 months & 7 #. Such a narrow foot base though. The other 3 are 4 months old 6-6½ #
I look forward to after next fall to watch the 2nd gen Rex and Wonderland and HOPEFULLY see improvements!

On this day last year. It has been a good year, & this sweet boy definitely has proved himself!
🖤🧡🤍My rabbits, I was just telling a friend how therapeutic they are. That moment of sheer innocence, no outside world. They have the ability to provide so much. Meat, pelts, love and knowledge. The want to better the breed, to get outside and hands on. It really is a mental stimulant. Holding an animal, a prey animal at that and they trust you. I had to take a break for a bit over a year because of high risk pregnancy, 2 surgeries back to back. Now here I am back at it, with my favorite breed of all, Rex. ❤️🙏🏼
My heart is full.. I look forward to my little one joining my journey when he is a bit bigger!
This is Ezra, my Jr. Tri buck, and a total sweetheart!

Oh Phineas, you hold a special spot 💙 sweet boy!
When I got into Rex I got his grand sire Atticus from my friend Fuhr Farm. Blue Otter will always be a favorite. From Atticus came Rizzo, and now Rex in Wonderland's Phineas. He was out of Rex in Wonderland's Cecilia x Rizzo.
I posted months ago how I went out one day and one of her 4 were dead. Next day, 2 more dead & I just knew the following day would be the last kit. Nope, it was Cecilia. I fostered him to another litter and here he is! 16 weeks, just sweet as can be too!

Throwback to 3 years ago.
A year into breeding rabbits. I had Holland lops, lion heads, mini lops, mini rex, then finally rex. My favorite.
Now I just breed Rex and Mini Rex, but I do miss my Hollands from time to time! ❤️
