Moondog Bakery started in 2019 with the idea of making dog treats and CBD supplements using local ingredients. After years of studying dog nutrition and making my own dog food, I knew local ingredients make a healthy dog. It also separated us from other businesses. I don't just use a couple local ingredients, over 80% of my ingredients are sourced locally. Six years later and we are still sourcing locally. Yes i love to make delicious treats for your pet ,but more so, I love to make a treat that is providing healthy nutrients for your pet. Every ingredient that goes in my treats are chosen for their unique nutritional value. Unlike other pet treats, I bake with low temperatures for a longer amount of time. This conserves more of the nutrients that are lost to high heat. Dog treats for me, are not just a business, it is a passion. So thank you to all the local businesses that help me keep pups healthy!

Exploring the exciting world of mushrooms and the amazing benefits they have for dogs. I introduced immune support last fall with Shiitake Mushrooms. Last week I introduced Skin and Coat Support With Reishi Mushrooms. I am just getting started! Dog Treats for me, aren't just about making a tasty treat, but also getting helpful nutrients to dogs. So many dog parents have so many different needs for their pups, whether it is allergies, low calorie, low sugar, low protein, skin problems, etc. I want to help all the pups! No these treats aren't a cure, but can help promote a healthy balance.

Finally here! Did you know in the state of Virginia, you must be licensed by the Virginia Department of Agriculture to sell packaged dog treats? Did you know each flavor and size must be registered? This is to insure your dogs are getting quality dog treats! Make sure to ask your local packaged dog treats provider if they are registered with VDACS
