TOBY!! He worked yesterday morning. 13 weeks old and already has the basic obedience concepts down! Previously his owner was told he was “untrainable” when in reality. He is just a puppy. One thing to keep in mind folks is like kids, dogs too have an adolescent phase. Just because dogs CAN learn training commands without flaw, does not mean that is 100% what will happen. Don’t give up just because your PUPPY. is being a puppy...

Hey friends this is Buck. He is looking for a new home and I’m trying to help find him someone who can provide what he needs. These are the details from the owner;

“Buck is a 6 year old AKC registered intact male German Shepherd Dog. We have had him since he was 2 months old. He was a gift from a family friend who raises GDS in Pennsylvania. He is very energetic and playful. He loves his tennis balls. One to chew on and another to kick around the house. He will kick the ball back and forth to you. He loves to play ball and catch frisbees outside. He loves hiking and playing in lakes and his backyard pool. He is good on a leash with experienced people. He just had his annual vet checkup and is up to date on his shots, etc. He is super smart and responds really well to training. He isn’t an easy dog so he needs someone who knows GDS.”

Now I have gone and evaluated Buck and am currently going and walking him for the owner. Buck is a typical male Shepherd. He is dominant, and a protector. SO he needs someone who has previously worked with shepherds, and or dominant/intelligent breed dogs. I.e. malinois, shepherds, Chows, etc.

If you are interested in meeting Buck or possibly adopting him. Just give me a shout.

Hello everyone,

We hate that this is something happening right now. However, for the time being Dailey Dog Training will no longer be offering board training programs. Unfortunately the facility we have been using since day 1 has shifted dynamics. We understand this is an inconvenience for some who had scheduled board training. This is only temporary and we will update everyone as soon as we are operating at full capacity again! THAT BEING SAID. we do still offer free evaluations, and private in home training sessions. So please, don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like more information on either of these two services! Have a great rest of your evening everyone.

Hey folks! Meet he is a 5no GoldenDoodle who is currently training with us to become a Service Dog for is owner! Chili is training to help his mom! Chili’s mom has suffered from severe depression, anxiety, and borderline dissociative disorders for the greater part of her life. Although Chili has only been working with us for a little over a month now. He is EXTREMELY intelligent and picks up commands very quickly. We’re very proud of him and happy for his owner for taking the first step towards getting such a great support system! Stay tuned for updates progress on and his awesome owner!

Today was a very good day for training with miss .partipoodle she got to go to the mall of Georgia with her owner and we worked on several different commands to include the down stay in a high distraction environment. She also got to go on her first elevator ride and did wonderfully. One of the main reasons why we do this type of training is because a service dog must be calm regardless of the environment. So naturally the mall was an ideal training environment for today. Good job penny! Keep working hard girly and keep taking care of your mommy!

This is Daisy the Irish Setter! She has been doing basic on leash obedience with us with a little over a month. Traditionally Daisy and her brother dog Timmy would lose their minds barking and jumping on the front door if anyone came to the door. After an hour of practicing with her owner, Daisy was given a sit stay command. Then her owner walked clear across the house to get something while Daily stayed🤗 very smart girl and her owners are doing an outstanding job with her training!

There’s been a lot of questions about Foxx the rescue we took in. If you had questions. Hopefully this video answers them.

The making question we are getting right now is, “are you still training?” And it is a resounding yes. We have definitely adjusted due to the current world situation. But, we are absolutely still in operation. You can see Mr. Bear the doodle doing absolutely awesome with his training. Very quick, and very attentive! But tomorrow is a sad day because Bear will be going home. It is always a pleasure to work with such intelligent and committed dogs🤗 congrats Bear, we can’t wait to see what your people think!

Mr. Stuart on day 2/14. SO intelligent. A little squirrely. Partially stubborn. But overall he is VERY good for day 2 of training. We are using the pronged collar with positive physical and verbal affirmation as the “treat” 🤗🤗

Hey everyone! Just a little reminder in these crazy times! This is Oreo! He has come through our 14 day board training program for basic obedience! He is currently with his wonderful foster but is still looking for a Oreo shows tremendous potential to become a PTSD/TBI service dog. So his ideal home would be either a single veteran, or a home where he can be the primary dog. Two rows of objects. Two different fields of work. One similarity that binds all of these objects together. That one thing? They all serve individual purposes that are postured to accomplishing the same goal. Take the tools for instance. Each tool, does something different. Yet, they all can contribute to building a house. The hammer traditionally is the staple of strength and building the framework for a home. As well as laying shingles that helps protect the home. How does this relate to dog training collars, remotes, etc? Easy. Like tools for building a house. These different training methods ALL serve individual purposes that have the same goal in mind; training a dog. That being said, I’m sure there are those of you looking at certain training tools with resentment. There may be some of you who don’t know what all of them are. Regardless, each training tool has a specific type of dog it works best with. A hammer isn’t meant for screwing a screw. Just as you can not hammer a nail with a tape measure. For example. The pronged collar. Although it is a very effective training tool, it is not a good fit for EVERY dog. The same goes for any of the other training methods pictured here. You can over treat a dog. Over shock, over reward and praise. As well as effectively dull the use of a clicker. So, when training a dog, have an open mind to different types of methods. If you don’t know about a particular method. Educate yourself. Learn. Research. Because although I personally don’t agree with all of the methods pictured I know that each method serves its own purpose. Don’t be naive to think that ONE method will fix every dog. Approaching training with this ignorant and narrow minded mentality will set you up for failure in the future. If you have questions about any of these methods. Please reach out to us! 🐾 🐶

Third times the charm am I right? Let’s talk about exercise!

How much does your dog get a day? Are you walking, running, or playing with your dog? Did you know according to a 2019 New York Times study that dog owners are 4x more likely to meet the daily exercise standard based on a study done in England with 700 participants and 385 neighboring households. Dog owners can spend as much as 300 minutes a week just WALKING their dog. Which is 200 more than the Average person. Not to mention! Dogs who exercise more, are prone to do better and be more focused not ONLY in a training environment but, also in their daily household lives.

BOTTOM LINE

Exercise your dog!! A large sum of behavioral issues in dogs can be related back to the amount and quality of exercise they are receiving on a daily basis. So do yourself a favor and get up and go exercise your pupperino! And if you have questions about training, give is a call 🤗👍🏼🐶 🐾

This is camelia. Aka. she was one of the very first people I ever worked with outside of the training kennel I worked at for a few years. You could say she was my first client. Well, three dogs later she is now a close friend and fellow dog lover. Today, because I left my keys in my wife’s car 🤦🏼‍♂️ she came and picked me up and even helped with taking care of some of the dogs at the kennel today. So i got some brunch with her and her good boy Ace! So lucky to have a friend who helps with no expectations of return. SIDENOTE! She also provides a pet sitting service! So if you are in need of an awesome dog loving pet sitter! Let me know. 😉😉

Just a friendly reminder 😌

Dailey Dog Training LLC was founded on the sole principle of helping dogs through the training and education of dog behavioral issues to the community.
We are not here to put anyone out of business or steal customers. DDT will never gain business through slander of any other training kennels or businesses. We believe firmly in honesty, integrity, and ALWAYS having the individual dogs best interest in mind.
Our training methods were taught by a 20+ year family owned training and boarding kennel that is to this day thriving in the dog training world! We also have learned a great deal through the animal behavior college as well as the American Kennel Clubs Canine Good Citizen program.
If you are a fellow training business, kennel, groomer or rescue. We would be honored to meet you, learn, help, teach, and coordinate however possible. Because at the end of the day. We are here to help every dog we can show that no matter the breed, age, history, or temperament. EVERY dog deserves the opportunity to show they can be a well behaved dog.

Happy hump day! And have a good rest of your work week!

Posted • “Last Tuesday while waiting to sit in on a recovering substance abuse meeting, Ava took an interest in the woman in this picture. After getting to talk with her. I found out her husband is a veteran, and she has PTSD from her adult daughters death. Her daughter had a tree fall on her mail truck while delivering mail. Crushing the truck and killing her in the process. We held hands, shared our experiences, and discussed Ava and how she saved my life and what she does for me personally when I am having an episode. It was a beautiful conversation and I was so happy to have Ava provide support for this woman. These instances are the reason I train dogs, and the reason I want to educate the community on dog behavioral issues.” -Stephen Judy

Well. It was a bittersweet day. Murphy went home from training to be with her family. Without a doubt. Murphy was absolutely one of the best dogs we have ever had the privilege to train. At 5 months old. She can do 100% off leash training with just the e-collar. That may not sound like a big deal to some. But that means. At any given time off leash. She is within 3-5 feet of the person handling her. Most trainers won’t start dogs on e-collar off leash until 9-12 months. But, Murphy rose to the challenge and absolutely excelled at every training opportunity! So happy for Murphy and her family!!

22/01/2020

“This is Murphy. She is a 5 month old Dogo Argentino. Today she went to the gym. SHE WENT TO THE GYM. Just to give y’all some perspective. I didn’t take my Shepherd to the gym until she was 1.5 years old. Murphy is an outstanding dog. She did so well at the gym and we even spent some time walking off leash (leash dragging on the ground) I’m not a “look at me” dog trainer. So I try to let the result speak for itself. OH also. She is only on day 8 of her training. So. For you skeptics that wonder if my training is effective and worth paying? Well, here ya go.” - Stephen Judy owner of Dailey Dog Training.

Well folks. As stephen said. The result of just 8 days of training. Does indeed speak for itself.
