Update on arrangements for Joey:
(Feel free to share)

Wednesday, 2pm, on our farm:
1405 Bromley Ridge Rd, Fort Gay, WV 25514

One of the many reasons I believe Joey actually knew, is he let us know all of the details involved in the chance of his passing.

He specifically wanted:
- no traditional funeral, only a small graveside service
- No open casket - so, it will be closed.
- And, the biggest part:
He wanted to be buried on the farm, in a very specific location.

So, even if Joey was prepared for his own moving on, we certainly were not.
Our family, my dad, Joey’s uncles, cousins, brothers etc have been doing a lot of renovating on the farm, as it was in a bit of disrepair.
However! Though Dad and I had blinders and weren’t bothered by everything, Joey always wanted to clean up the farm when he came back.
So Dad said “Well, he’s finally getting that done. He came back, and we’re cleaning up the farm.” ❤️

So, please forgive us for the out of the way location and any construction and messiness you see. The family has made a new farm road (up a very steep hill) to the place Joey requested to rest his spirit’s earthly vessel.
The field is bush-hogged for parking.
They’ve cleared trees, fences, mowed, weedeated, hauled in gravel and dirt, dug out his chosen place, and so much more.

It will be a small, simple service, and a very small venue.
We’ll play or sing a few of Joey’s favorite songs/hymns to anyone who wished to join in.

It is, though, very welcome and completely open to all who knew and loved Joey.

We all want everyone to be able to share with one another the love and appreciation they had for the knowing of, and amount of time they were given with, my brother.

Feel free to bring flowers or pictures or whatever.

Personally I would love to see any pictures of Joey that everyone has. So, if it weren’t a bother, feel free to bring them, or to post them on my or his Facebook wall so we can all have joy in them.

Also, the outpouring of love, condolences, and prayer has been so immense - Joey apparently had more friends than the rest of the family combined!
I know no one “expects” a reply, but I truly wish I can, and will try.

Thank you, with Love,
- Joshua

Early this morning my brother Joey passed away.
Larry Joe Robinett II (a name so good my dad just had to pass it along….) - Joey - at only 37 years old.
In Paradise, “where the lion lays with the lamb”, with his Creator.

He was a person of strong faith.

He went into the hospital with excruciating pain and the beginnings of paralysis.

They found he had a massive amount of a very rare bone cancer in his spine, that we didn’t - but now know, had been developing since birth.

They said emergency operation was immediately necessary for hopes of survival.

Not only would the cancer have spread through his body, and he would’ve continued to have become paralyzed, but the extreme pain alone could’ve killed him.

They had him on both morphine and fentanyl, and it could barely touch his pain.

Operating was the only choice. And we only had a little more than a week of Joey hospitalization notice before it happened.

He had a vast team of surgeons, of the highest level, of a wide variety of backgrounds and specialties doing diagnostics, planning, and then the surgery - all working on him together as a team in their specific areas.

They had been in surgery for 15 hours when his worldly body finally gave out, and his spirit moved on.

As stated, he was immensely spiritual. One of the best true Christian I have ever known.

My whole family has a very strong faith at the peak of their earthly identity.
I don’t mind if you don’t identify with that, that’s fine too. This is just how I feel and believe….

Every time I tried to pray for something selfish through this, The Spirit reminded me “No. ‘HIS will be done. HIS plan to come.’ (Whatever is planned for the greatest of ultimate good.)
And I said “Ok. That is my prayer. But have mercy. Please… just have mercy on our Joey. Show your endless grace in this situation.”

I prayed, and prayed, and prayed….
We all did.
And today The Spirit let me know, that NOTHING , was an “accident” or unplanned.. Our prayers WERE answered.
HIS will WAS done.
And he expressed the greatest of mercies and grace that could possibly be done.

Joey would’ve had to endure an undetermined amount of pain, suffering, lifetime treatment, and rehabilitation - to still end up of an extremely different form, capacity, and function than he had.

The prayers were answered. The will of Goodness was done.
Mercy and grace of the upmost capacity was given.

I also believe, Joey was already the kindest, most gentlest, most generous, most unjudgmental, most faith-filled, most loving person that I have ever known….
If you knew him, you know…
I believe he was already so close to sainthood, the best thing The Creator could’ve done for him was go ahead and make him a Saint - to now grant his Sainthood.

So therefor, we rejoice, are unendingly happy for him, and look forward to knowing him in his perfect, renewed form again one day.

My family feels the same way.
But still….
We are all in the grips of the near inconsolable fleshly mourning that comes with this.

So your continued prayers for my family would be greatly appreciated. We have a lot ahead of us.

I’ll give a better memorial post, and start responding to all of the messages we’ve received later.
I am immensely grateful for everyone that prayed, and reached out. It’s made a tremendous difference.
But for now, I just felt I needed to give this update, and that’s about all I can do at the moment.

Eternally grateful.
May The Master of the Universe bless you.

I don’t have the time to explain the situation…

But please, I beg, pray for IMMEDIATE, mercy and healing on my whole family, and the most for he who is in most dire mortal need right now.

Please….

Just finished up a really cool session with this gal. ❤️
Super confident, independent, opinionated lady (anyone known an Appy? 😅)
Self confident enough that the first 80% of our ground/liberty session was spent on her telling me “she don’t need no man!”
Then ended with “maybe there’s room for you in my Queendom. So you must stay at least this close to me now.”
I do love a woman that knows what she wants! 😜❤️

Two of our little OTTBs with Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue, INC at Mulligan Farm getting to play outside on this beautiful day!
Sammich and Olive.
Olive is always channeling her inner Arabian with her tail flagging and head held high - and Sam is the goofiest lil dork there could be.
Both incredibly sweet. ❤️

How has this gorgeous copper-ginger beastie not found someone to adore her yet?!

I’m totally happy to get to spend time with her, but she’d really like a person of her own!

Just finished up a nice ride.

I have been granted a special opportunity..

Through the ASPCA Right Horse partnership with the Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue, INC I was given an internship at Monty Roberts Flag Is Up Farms Inc in Solvang, California. “The Man who Listens to Horses” has immeasurably impacted horses AND people.

I’ve been here over a month, and will have so much to share.

Thank you to everyone at home and HOP for their support.

As always, I’m late… and often a little slow. 😂
But here’s my New Year post!

Applies to us, to our horses, and to trying to help them progress.

Lessons I needed to refocus on in ‘22:

- Don’t ignore the little things; they add up to be big things.
- In discomfort and uncertainty, we often shy away from awareness and consciousness.
- We must do the opposite to heal and progress - bring awareness, consciousness, and intention to the perceived negativity: to get to the origin - to move into the pain.
- Perceived “pain”, stress, discomfort, and uncertainty are not always bad. In fact, they are guides - there to inform us of what’s occurred, where we are now, and the trajectory of our current route.
- While we exist on this plane: our bodies, minds, and spirits are inseparable. Just like all things in the web of life, one thread cannot be pulled, without it resonating through the whole organization.
- To respect our bodies is to respect our minds and spirits; to respect our minds and spirits is to respect our bodies.
- Growth and progress always require some degree of stress and strain.
- That is whether it be getting through the anxiety, past the fear, or enduring the fatigue, and pressing into the resistance.
- You should never grow numb and harden against discomfort/pain/suffering in any aspect of life, but instead, soften to it, know it deeply, for it wants to be heard, for it is there because it has something to say. So don’t see it as an enemy, but as a guide, and let it help direct your path to awareness, intention, progress, and healing. ❤️
