MEET the JUDGE

We are delighted and honoured to introduce our Dressage Judge
🏵️Jane Ratcliffe 🏵️

Jane is an experience BD List 5 Judge.

We asked Jane.
What does she look for and what makes her smile when judging a test and this was her answer:

“Like all judges I look for rhythm, suppleness and contact ( first 3 on scale of training) at intro level with accuracy and obedient to aiding.
What makes me happy to see at this level is good active rhythm coupled with accurately ridden movements , a harmonious partnership to me is more joyful than a kick and pull the head in test.”

How to Enter

RULES:

Dressage - Judged under BD relaxed rules - see previous post for guidance.
The test must be a video from the C marker on landscape ( your phone on the side) with the markers in the arena area clearly visible.
Your video must not be edited in any way or this will be a voided entry. (no refunds will be issued)
Please do not zoom in on the rider / horse.

Photo entry classes.

The photo must be yours - you must own the photo
The photo must be an original
Please ensure the photo is clear and of good quality
No photo copies or photographed images (a photo of a photo is not admissible)
Watermarked photos are not accepted

Photos accepted - Under our safe guarding policy please consider smudging the faces of minors if applicable.

By entering your photo or video you are agreeing to the photo / or image from the video, to be published on our website and social media.

Our online Dressage classes.

We thought we would post the BD Rules for Dressage 2023

We intend to run one Dressage class per event, the entry price will be £15 per class. £13.50 for our riding club members. AEUK.

The class will be either BD Rules or Relaxed Rules

BD rules see link below
Relaxed Rules ( means you can compete in normal tack and every day riding wear )
The Test will be posted for you to learn
Video’s from C in a marked arena 20x40.

Rosettes
Our placings will be 1- 10th place
Full dressage score sheet sent with Rosette in the post.
Over 10th place your score sheet will be emailed.
