HAPPY (day late) THANKSGIVING!! 🦃 🍽🍁

Zoey and I just wanted to come on here and personally thank everyone who has let me watch their home and their fur babies for them this year. Every single one of you mean so much to me and I’m so thankful for an opportunity to ease your mind while you’re away from home! Thank you also to everyone who has referred me to someone whom you know or love! It does not go unnoticed! This sweet little small business puts me through school so not only am I helping you but you are helping me. 🫶🏻

Hey y’all! Most of you know me already, but if you don’t, welcome! My name is Shelia (shee-luh) and I have been dog/house sitting more frequently over the last 3 years. What started as a few favors here and there for family and friends has transformed into what you see now - a little side business I like to call Chela’s House and Pet Sitting. The name Chela is actually a nickname/inside joke that came from my friends Tommy and Jamelle when I was assisting Tommy during his back surgery.
A little about me: I’m originally from Paris, TN and moved to Knoxville for about 8 years and just relocated home! I received a Bachelor of Science in Education from UT Knoxville with a major in Kinesiology and am currently working towards getting second degree in nursing. I work full time as a Nursing Assistant at Henry County Medical Center.
When I’m not working or in class I love to - obviously - pet sit, spend time with friends, nap, grab a drink, and spend as much time as possible outside, especially in the warmer months!
- I do work 12 hour shifts at the hospital. I make my own schedule and typically try not to schedule myself if I know I am going to be watching your pets. A lot of my customers are fellow healthcare workers so their pets are used to being alone for long hours at a time, however, I am aware some pets do not do well alone for long periods of time, in the dark, or overnight.
- I do not have set prices or rates. I typically leave payment at discretion of pet owner. If I continue to grow and have increased interest I will consider daily rates.
- I am local to Paris & Henry County but have travelled to surrounding areas/counties and am open to further travel.
- Most of my experience is with dogs and cats. I have minimal farm experience with goats, pigs, chickens, and horses that just includes feeding.
- My services are very minimal and usually only include feeding, walking, toileting. I am absolutely open to bathing, medication administration, any other extra needs as long as instruction is provided. 🙂
- Pet sitting will always be done at the pet’s/owner’s home.
