Give a shout out to the ones you love!
#CuddlyCritters
Today is not only ID Your Pet Day, but also the start of Lost Pet Prevention Month! Both go hand-in-hand to ensure you do what’s necessary beforehand, in case your pet ever gets lost.
It’s very important to make sure your pet has an ID tag &/or has been microchipped. This is true especially during the summer months, since people & pets are going outside more often. Being outdoors & going on vacations can lead to fur babies getting loose & running off.
Wouldn’t you love to take your cat on adventures with you? Well, now you can!
Have you ever seen those awesome backpacks that are made just for cats? They’re the purr-fect way to take your cat out of the house & let them see the world, while staying safe!
You can even take your kitty to their vet appointment in it; no more boring cat carrier!
Purchase them online today at yourcatbackpack.com. Trust us, it’ll be a purr-fect bonding experience.

Six Pillars of Animal Reiki
Six Pillars of Animal Reiki:
1. This method is founded upon traditional Japanese Reiki techniques & philosophy.
2. Touch is used only when animals seek it out, & then only as a compassionate support.
3. Mental focus techniques develop as an “All is Well” state of mind for the practitioner that sees the animal’s perfection in the present moment, rather than focusing on what is wrong.
4. Meditation is taught as a state of mind with flexible physical forms (sitting, standing, walking).
5. Animal Reiki is mindfulness meditation practiced “with” our animals, rather than an energy therapy done “to” them.
6. This method acknowledges & honors each animal as a spiritual teacher & healer. Practitioners learn to listen & become receptive to their spiritual wisdom & healing gifts.
There is actually a local Animal Reiki Practitioner here in Greenville County! Suzanne Golden is the owner of Four Balanced Paws in Taylors. To learn more, go to her website, Facebook, or Instagram (listed below).

National Pet Day
It’s National Pet Day! Treat your fur baby today to let them know how grateful you are to have them in your life. Maybe a nice walk, a little treat, or just some good ol’ snuggles!
Why Dogs Chew
Ever wonder why dogs seem to want to chew everything? One reason is stress. There can be many things that cause a dog to be stressed like thunderstorms & fireworks. When you go out of town & leave your fur baby at home, this can also be a source of stress for them. Chewing makes a dog feel better.
Another reason is lack of training. Dogs don’t automatically understand what they can or can’t chew on. Through their eyes, the world is one big toy.
Dogs explore their world mouth first. Have you ever seen a dog eat a bug, just to immediately spit it out? They don’t bother to think first if tasting it would be a good idea; they just do it.
April Fools Day
It may be April Fools Day, but we’re no joke! As professional pet sitters, we take pet care seriously to keep you & your fur baby happy. If you’d like us to come over & spend some time with your pet, give us a call! Existing clients should use the Client Portal to schedule visit requests.
Is it a rainy day, but you & your pooch still want to play? Here are three ideas to play indoors when the weather outside isn’t so great:
1. Clear an area from anything that may be fragile to give your pet some wiggle room for fun. You can play a gentle game of fetch indoors, or even tug of war!
2. Grab your pup's favorite treats & try hiding a few around the house for them to find. They'll get a yummy treat & love quality time with you!
3. Whether you have a puppy or senior canine, you can always work on training them to keep their minds sharp. Brains need exercise too ya know! Try teaching them a new trick or go through the commands they already know.
Does this sound wonderful, but unfortunately, you have to work? Contact us! We’ll come over for a short visit to provide all the entertainment your dog desires.

It may not seem like it at the moment, but we're still in Winter! The Spring-like weather has been nice, however, temperatures will likely drop back down & you'll want to be prepared.
It's important to make sure that your pet is staying warm! This is especially important for smaller breeds or breeds that have short fur.
-You can purchase sweaters & other winter wear for your pet at your local pet store, or even find them on Amazon to ensure your fur baby is comfortable during the cold weather.
-Be sure to bring your dogs + cats inside, & remember, if it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them!
-After walking your pet, it's also important to have a towel ready to dry their fur & paws off, so that they stay warm & dry once they're back inside.
Busy schedule? Call today (864-901-3189) if you'd like us to bundle them up & take them out for you! Stay warm & we'll see y’all soon.
