Feeling overwhelmed with your bun? Considering letting he/she ‘run free’?

There is a big difference between wild rabbits and domesticated rabbits. Domesticated rabbits can not survive in the wild. They do not have the physical speed to outrun their predators like wild rabbits, they may not be able to burrow safely, they have no experience in finding their own food and will not be accepted into a wild rabbit colony (herd).

If you are feeling overwhelmed. Please contact this account and we will do all we can to help you and your bun.

I highly recommend bunny bedding for your rabbit litter tray. It’s safe for your furry friend, easy to clean, can go in the brown compost bin and hides all nasty smells 😊

Here is an example of a ‘rabbit room’. The hutch is never closed. It functions as a base camp or hidey house. Not an exclosure. Bunny has plenty of space to run around and explore as desired. There are different places to hide, tunnels to play in, a variety of toys (homemade and bought), two litter trays and plenty of hay- in this case two hay racks and hay in the hutch.

Ideally bigger litter trays are better (Such as ones for cats).

Remember- while Bugs-Bunny lived on carrots.... in real life carrots should only be given as a treat. Rabbits don’t naturally eat root vegetables. Carrots are super high in sugar for rabbits and they should only be given as a treat. 🐰🥕🍰

It is a common misconception that rabbits make an easy pet. Well..
Inquisitive creatures, rabbits require stimulation in the form of toys, exercise and lots of space to move around and explore! Naturally rabbits are social creatures. They live in groups in the wild and so will not cope well being isolated. If not housed with other bunny’s, rabbits need regular interaction with their humans.
