Respect for the residents that live in these homes is of the utmost importance. We are working with City officials and the local RCMP detachment for a large-scale trapping rescue, hopefully to happen late next week.

Update on the 8 rats we took from the box that was dumped on the steps of WHS.

6 boys: 4 are being adopted this week! Adoption information for the remaining 2 boys will be posted next week.

Unfortunately, sweet Pheobe miscarried her litter :( We are, however, happy to report that she is doing well and parkouring all over her enclosure!

On Oct. 31, Ursula gave birth to her litter, which we believe to be 8 babies. So far, Mama and her little beans are doing super well.

We will continue to provide updates on mama and her babies. Once they are weaned at 5 weeks, they will get their exams and be placed up for adoption. Ursula and Phoebe will then be reunited and placed in for adoption together 🐾

We have unfortunately had a vendor back out last minute, and we have a spot to fill for a unique vendor. Some vendors we would consider:

* Breads
* Indiginous crafts (must be an indigenous owned business)
* We would consider a jewelry vendor, but it MUST be unique

We are currently completely full of:

* Crochet
* Pet items (including treats and accessories)
* Candles
* Bath & Body products
* Baking (cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc)
* Resin makers
* Sewing

🐾 Handmade items only.

Table fee is $40, plus a donation to our silent auction of around $10. This includes an 8 foot table, 2 chairs, bottled water and snacks. Pizza lunch also available for purchase.

We have found a facility in Selkirk that will allow us to begin our mass trapping operations of the 60+ domestic rabbits on the streets. We intend to have our keys and do our prep work this week, with the first large-scale trapping mission being next week. This needs to happen quickly.

What another absolutely incredible open house!

Firstly, thank you SO much to for hosting us and being so welcoming to our critters! If you are looking for a day camp for your dog, check them out! P&B canine mascot Fang goes there, and he loves it!

We also want to thank our incredible foster and volunteer team who came out, brought your fosters, and talked to visitors. You also helped set up and clean up. Thank you!

Last, and most certainly not least, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came by to visit, donate, and purchase items to help the critters in our care. It's because of our amazing community that we can continue to do the work that we do.

So much love and appreciation for another amazing open house!

My favourite part of the day… OK, every part of the day is my favourite, I’m a pretty easy-going guy! But seriously, look at how healthy I am, eating all these delicious greens for dinner? I love it when you share your salad with me! #SpongeBobAdventures

Speaking of magic, did you know I can do tricks? Look at this… I disappear into this tunnel and TADA! I reappear closer to you! Who needs a human with a top hat? I’m the white bunny that knows all the tricks! #SpongeBobAdventures

Ahhh, I feel so loose and spry after that little massage session that I’m ready to play! My favourite toy is this ball. Did you know that if I roll it around, treats magically appear on the floor??? It’s amazing. Nom nom nom, I love magic! #SpongeBobAdventures

I’m all about self-care and my humans give the best massages! They say I’m a little “cuddlebug”… I’m not sure I like being called a bug, but if it means more massages, then maybe I’ll forgive them… *sigh* #SpongeBobAdventures

Permanent foster Muenster enjoys a delicious snack 🐾

Over 30 degrees with the high humidity, and these poor rabbits and guinea pigs are not only stuffed into a tiny enclosure in the blistering heat (or are huddled under the enclosure) and sun, but are being swarmed by tiny hands and their parents, trying to run away in fear, but they have nowhere to go. Nowhere to hide. Food? Water? Shelter? These are the BASIC needs, and even those aren't being met. This is the current situation at Ricklyn Farms in Altona. THIS. IS. ANIMAL. ABUSE.
