Very excited to have a new group of friends join in with Greenville TNR. Welcome the Skilled life learning class of Hickory High School. They are helping by making cardboard cut outs that fit into a trap that keeps the cat more comfortable while being vetted and recovering from surgery. They wrap and tape the cardboard slats with training p*e pads. My cat Cupid and i visited them and had a great time. We call these cardboard slAts kitty mattresses. Thank you to this special group of new team members.

Everyone got a home but Bobby. He is last of the Grady Bunch. Now Bronco and Buster have left. He just does not understand what has happen. All his siblings and friends are gone. He is a good boy , he has one mark against him. He is a brown tabby that come a dime a dozen . Like black cats they get overlooked .

Today is their day. It is sad sad sad. These boys have been with me from 6-7 weeks wild little boys to now 5 months and lovable. I sure hate letting kitties go. I am hoping the best. They get to stay together and not be in my chaos life with my gang. They will be loved and will love. I will not lie, it hurts like crazy. A good hurt. Thank you Nicolos for picking 2 of my kitties.

To those that live at faye terrace apartments . I am receiving alot of people reaching out asking me to help with a cat or cats on the premises. Last year 2022 i was informed by the property manager, that TNR was to stop. For 2 years cats was being maintained by TNR and returned. This was absolutely done at no cost to anyone. Just the mere fact i wanted to help the cats and community. 40-50 cats was done and several kittens was adopted. Just posting this for those who are on here that i am honestly sorry i can not help with any situation at any MCHA.

Winter Community Cat Feeding Tip ...

Cats need extra calories in the winter to keep extra fat layers on their bodies to keep them warmer in the winter.

Feeding adult food mixed with some kitten food (which has more calories than adult food) is a good option in the winter months.

🚩It is only necessary to feed more calories during the colder months.

Did you know that something we did all our lives could harm waterfowl. This goose was part of a flock by where i use to work. I noticed it had a bad wing and could not fly with its flock. So yes i got it captured and took it up to a rehab in Saegertown Pa. It had a condition called Angel wing…..Here is a little info on it…. Eating bread, crackers or other similar foods can cause ducks and geese to develop a condition called “angel wing,” The lack of adequate nutrition during growth causes a bird's wings to unnaturally twist outward instead of lying flat. They can not fly and can become victims of predators.

They are homeless, but you can help. Styrofoam coolers with a 6-7 inch hole cut in the front, at top of cooler. Use straw only and help these homeless kitties in these elements. It is because of human error that they are in this situation. Stop letting YOUR unvetted cat roam the streets. Be the solution not the problem.

In 2005, a six-month-old kitten named Oscar was adopted by a nursing home in the US to be raised as a therapy cat. However, the workers noticed something peculiar about him.

While Oscar usually preferred to be alone, he occasionally crawled into a resident's bed and snuggled beside them.

The eerie thing about this is that the resident that Oscar would cuddle with would usually die within hours.

Initially, the staff didn't think much of it, but after this happened 20 times, they started to believe that Oscar knew when someone was close to passing away, and so when they noticed the cat next to a resident, they would call their loved ones to warn them.

Researchers speculate that Oscar could smell biochemicals released by dying cells and so chose to comfort lonely residents.

On one occasion, the staff was convinced that a resident was about to pass away, but Oscar refused to sit with them. Instead, he chose another resident who looked healthier, and that person passed away first.

Oscar died in 2022, and over the course of his life he accurately predicted over 100 deaths.
