We gave Leonard a proper burial in our backyard. ❤️ This will be the last you hear from us. Thank you everyone for the good thoughts and prayers. We are still heartbroken, but feel a little better knowing we gave him a safe and warm home for his last days. 💔

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I really need them. My husband and I are so heartbroken over his passing. We really thought he had more time so even though we knew he needed a miracle, this was still a bit of a shock to us. We grew so attached to him over the day and a half we had him but we are glad we did. He deserved someone to love him. RIP little buddy, I will miss you SOO much 😭😭

Day 2 with Leonard.

He only took a little of his syringe feeding this morning. He fought me so hard to keep his mouth closed that I couldn’t get it open without risking hurting him, so I will try again later and give him a little more. He definitely has some fight left in him which is exactly what we want to see!

This is Leonard’s body condition as of today, January 22nd. So far, he has had one syringe feeding of just under 1cc of food with vitamins and he gulped it down! Poor baby is so hungry. He will have his next feeding tomorrow morning.
