🎩 🐶 It's not magic... It's the Rule of 3s!
While every dog is different, this general rule of thumb often explains a lot about a newly adopted dog or a foster dog in a new home.
❤️ Whether coming from a shelter or a previous home, any dog in a new environment has had their life turned upside down. A new place, new people, a completely new routine... even the most well-rounded, confident dogs may need a few days to process all of this information.
💛 If you're seeing new behaviors or expect something different from your dog (adopted or fostered) at 3 weeks, that's a great time to connect with a trainer to discuss a plan or routine that will make everyone happy!
💚 At 3 months, you may find the dog waking up just before the alarm goes off, waiting by the door before the W-A-L-K, etc... anticipating the routine. They're officially settled into your home and have become family.🥰
Every dog is a little different, but we find this general rule of thumb rings true over and over again.
