🚨 URGENT 🚨

UPDATE: Brie has been released from the emergency vet! She is currently recovering and resting in her foster home.

UPDATE: though Brie was stable enough to be dismissed from the hospital, her condition has since worsened, and she is being readmitted to an emergency vet. Please keep her in your thoughts, and please consider donating or sharing 💔

Late Sunday night after undergoing a spay procedure, Brie, a four year old Bernese Mountain Dog, experienced a severe medical emergency. Her incision began leaking blood, she was unable to walk, and she was panting and struggling to keep her eyes open. We rushed her to the emergency vet, where it was discovered that she was bleeding internally.

Brie required multiple blood transfusions to stabilize her condition. Thankfully, our vets determined that she does not need additional surgery. However, the cost of her emergency care has reached over $5,600 (full invoice in comments). This was a large, unexpected expense, and we’re begging for help from our community to help us cover Brie’s hospital stay.

Brie has already endured so much in her short life— rescued from a puppy mill, enduring unimaginable conditions, used as a breeding mother. She deserves a chance to live a healthy and happy life, free from pain and suffering. Your generous donation can make this possible.
