Our walk earlier today 😊 Bernie still got a ways to go before his booboo heals, but he seems to feel fine now!
He's back to playing with his lil brother Charlie 🐶 & was ready to get out of the house!

Just got back from our vet visit. Apparently we did good at keeping the wound clean & dressed well, because there was no infection, but we got antibiotics to be safe. They shaved around it, did a wound clean, & also sent us home with some anti-inflammatory meds to help him as it continues to heal.
I also have a new theory of what I think caused his cut... I noticed on our walk yesterday that the ditch I still suspect he got cut in has all this new growth poking up throughout the grass that is jagged on top and slender like pencils/markers.
So I now suspect he must have sliced his ankle along one of those stick-like stumps. That'd explain the 3 inch height & how his paw pad didn't get cut by the 'glass' like I first thought.

Rough day... Bernie cut the back of his ankle today while we were out on our walk 😞 we think there must have been some broken glass in one of the ditches he walks through?? Because he was fine one minute & then all the sudden I noticed blood coming down his leg??
Poor guy, so thankful his paw pad didn't get hurt thouh! But I know my wittle baby is pitiful..
PS. Please don't litter guys.

Hate that I haven't been able to post more lately, I've been super busy lately working & preparing for a craft show in Nashville 😜
But thank God for our fur-babies who keep us sane & happy when everything around you feels hectic!
