🐎 Clara (Clarin x Lady Di).

🔹After 5 months of an amazing rest, she came back to finish consolidating what she had learned and continue incorporating movements and exercises that make the polo pony, she remembered everything perfectly which showed me to advance without any obstacles.

🔸After a month Clara finish assimilating all the exercises, she learned to stick and ball, and move in some chukkas of young horses without any mishap, now she will return to his owner who will continue with the training to perfect her and turn her into a true polo mare.

🙌🏽 Thank you for trusting in our work.

Neck lateral flexion

✅ This exercise relaxes, stretches and gives mobility (helps a lot in handling new horses).
🟠 Preferably do it after your workout routine when the muscles are warm
🔹Always on both sides.
⚠️Paying attention if the horse has more difficulty towards one of these.
🥰Remember not to force your horse, as this is a relaxation exercise.
👍🏾I recommend that you first teach your horse to give in to pressure.

Ese es el secreto de la riqueza🔮
Entonces, comprenderás que para vivir mejor
Hay que ser mejor
Cantando, bailando y amando💙

🖐 The horses have 5 basic colours: black, chestnut, bay, sorrel and grey.

🎨 The coat patterns are:
Skewbal/tobiano.
Piebald/tobiano negro.
Grey/tordillo.
Roan/ruano.
Spotted/moteado.
Black/negro.
Bay/zaino.
Chestnut/alazan.
Sorrel/ alazan tostado.

👉 The long, thick hair that grows on the horses' heads is called the mane or tuse. Both its mane and tail are used as protection against flying insects, they will wag their tail to remove any insects that might bother them on their sides where they would not reach with their muzzle and on their hindquarters, the mane helps to protect their neck, head, eyes and ears.

With them it’s always a good time 🤪🙌

🐎 Polo Horses: Breeds, Characteristics and Adaptability

🔸 In Argentina, between the 40's and 60's, the game of polo was rustic, strong and unprofessional. Polo horses were simultaneously used on the estancia to work the land. Their physiognomy was similar to that of a criollo horse: strong, robust and with little resistance and little speed.

🔹 In the 70's and 80's, professionalism and competition began to increase and speed became the most sought after skill among horses: this is when the Thoroughbred breed came into play (the Thoroughbred was a breed for racing and sports of speed and great endurance).
Today, all those involved in the world of polo recognise the importance of another breed: Polo Argentino (in English, Polo Pony). The origin of this breed is based on the crossbreeding of mestizo field horses with thoroughbred racehorses. Such is its relevance in the sport that both breeders and players have sought to perpetuate it through the generations.

🔸 The evolution in the type of game definitely determines the physical and temperamental characteristics that horses must have in order to be able to adapt to it. In the case of polo horses, and unlike the rest, it should be noted that they are hardy and fast both because of their inherited conditions and the training they receive from their first year of life.

🖐 5 things a foal needs from its trainer in a basic education:

1- That he knows how to distinguish when the horse is tense or relaxed.

2- That he understands the type of horse he has.

3- To be aware of his own movements and his negative emotions.

4- To be aware of the type of tension that the foal shows in new situations.

5- To repeat what produces a positive and cooperative attitude from the foal.

🏇 Polo:

ℹ️ Today its exact beginning is unknown but it is believed to have been first played between Turkish and Persian warriors in 600 AD. In the 16th century, King Shah Abbas the Great built a polo field in the capital of Persia, Ispahan, 300 yards long. In 1850, a group of British residents in India discovered the game and formed the world's first polo club in Silchar, west of Manipur.

In 1869, Edward Hartopp organized the first game at Houndslow Heath, called Horse Hockey. Mr. Hartopp wrote a short list of rules of the game, but the person credited with the first rules of the game is John Watson (1856-1908). The first polo club in England was "The Monmouthshire" in 1872, and then the famous "Hurlingham Polo Club" was founded.

The first official match in Argentina was played on September 3, 1875. The game was introduced in Argentina by the British who were working there. What was most surprising about the criollos was their enormous mastery of the horse.
To polo the countrymen applied the rules of the game of duck with the advantage of knowing how to handle the horse with only one hand.

🙌 Despite the pandemic and some unforeseen changes, I am happy to say goodbye to this year that was undoubtedly of personal and professional growth much more!

❤️ I continue to meet good and kind-hearted people and that is the most important thing about this journey/life.

🇦🇷 Even though I am far away from home and my loved ones, I always receive love and affection from all those who know me and also from those who don't!

🙏🏼 Thanks for being here and thanks to the people who make it possible for this little space in the networks to exist so I can share my experiences with all of you! And mainly to my great partner without her I would not have made it this far!

💫 Happy end of the year and I wish you all a beautiful new year full of dreams and goals to achieve.

💪 Don't give up!

🐎 CLARA, Mare 3 years old polo breed (Clarín x Lady Di)

She is in her first month of training and as part of the training process, we brought her to give her first trots and canter in the arena, with a wonderful result, she is starting to take her first steps with a rider on top, at this stage I am very interested in letting her be and let her show me the way to follow.

In this case I took the mallet to show her and hit the ball a couple of times to see her reaction, and just accompany her in each movement that she felt safe to do.
