January is Walk your Dog Month

Walks are a great outlet to drain a dog’s energy, lose weight and stay fit. The month of January in Pennsylvania poses to be cold with fridgid temps causing cold weather dangers for your dog. Frostbite and street salt are the biggest dangers to our dogs. Wipe off paws after a walk to get rid of street salt and if frostbite sets in, NEVER rub the area to warm it up but DO apply a warm compress or towel to the area.
