Registration is open for our November in-person meeting!

Our guest speaker is Dr.Emily Manor from VCA-AVCC. She will be giving us relevant updates on medical oncology treatments and diagnostics.

For the first 10 to 15 minutes of the meeting, we will also be holding our annual business meeting and elections. The positions of Secretary and Member at Large are both open. Please reach out to us if you might be interested or have any questions about the position.

Dear Members of the Central Indiana Veterinary Medical Association,

I am writing on behalf of the Board of the Central Indiana Veterinary Medical Association to apologize that communication and delivery of continuing education certificates has been delayed the past several months.

As many of you know, the CIVMA contracts with a publisher to deliver communication to our membership. This includes CE certificates.

Beginning in the fall of 2020, we started having challenges with the publisher regarding timeliness of communication. After conversations with her, we believed a level set had been achieved. This has proven not to be the case and the board has elected to terminate our relationship with the publisher.

This puts us in a challenging position that we are in the process of regaining control of all of the CIVMA properties. Additionally, until we have a new publisher, the board is attempting to deliver the same services. As you all are aware, the past year has been one of the busiest for veterinary medicine. We are doing our best to serve the CIVMA while working through the challenges of practice.

Throughout the remainder of the first quarter of the year, we are reorganizing how we communicate with the membership in effort to improve the CIVMA.

You have our promise that our organization will be better on the other end of this. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work through this.

Thank you to Kyle Vititoe, DVM, MS, DACVR from Medvet Indianapolis for a great virtual continuing eduction presentation last night. This was our largest virtual meeting yet with over 50 attendees! Our last meeting for 2020 will be December 9th with Matt Lemmons, DVM DAVDC speaking on dentistry. This meeting will also include our annual business meeting. We still need to fill the position of secretary for 2021. Please contact the CIVMA at [email protected] or comment on this post if you would like to join the executive board as secretary or if you have any questions. It is imperative that we fill this position by the end of the year.
