Working on a remake of this lead. I kept its sister for my own personal use and it is gorgeous- I get a ton of love every time I use it. I hardly ever choose it though because the bead set is long and heavy in the hands. This is why you see me doing much shorter "simpler" bead clusters on leads now. Stay tuned for the updated version. Please note I mean no disrespect to the bead maker- her beads are gorgeous and well made and I have many of them in my bead stash.

It has been a minute since I have posted. I have been enjoying the holidays with my family. Finally got this project done:
8 strand lead on a doubled 550lb core. 36 inches long with a 5 inch handle. This lead is solid and would be appropriate for use on the large breeds in the ring. It would also be strong enough to hold up to daily use for medium breeds.

I’m constantly trying to improve my skills. I was blessed to be able to spend some time last weekend with an expert and learned a few new tricks. Today I thought I would share something else that I have been working on… long Turks head knots. I have finally been able to make them from memory without having to follow along with a book or video.

Wasn’t sure if I was going to like this color combination when I first started braiding but I think the final result looks nice.

Finished another project tonight and did something completely new. This 4 strand lead is 29.5 inches long braided on a 130 lb core. I used Spanish ring knots to spruce up the bead set and put long Turks head knots on each end. The color combination is perfect for the beads.
