We are still accepting applications on this gorgeous girl. This is Quinn from our Tevye x Blaeja litter whelped 5-11-2018. She is 9 months old now. AKC registered, UKC registerable, all shot current, microchipped, comes with a one year membership to ISAA, or if you are already a member, a one year extension of your membership. She is crate trained, good with children and people of all ages, good with other dogs, horses, sheep. She demonstrates correct herding instinct for her breed and age. She is a higher drive puppy and is seeking a very active home or someone interested in doing some dog sports with her. She is super smart, inquisitive, eager to please, and agile with great bone and a solid temperament. We have two Icelandic Sheepdog puppies seeking their forever homes. One long-haired black tri-color male puppy, and one medium coated black tri-color female puppy. They are AKC registered/UKC registerable and come with a 1 year membership to ISAA. We are an ISAA approved breeder. Both parent dogs are health tested CHIC dogs.These puppies have a 5 generation IC score of 1.17% Both puppies are super sweet, affectionate, and quick to learn. They are maturing very nicely, doing well with crate training and have been well socialized to people, other dogs, livestock, etc and show appropriate interest and herding instinct for their breed. They were whelped on May 11, 2018 and are ready to go to their forever homes.

Our good friend Brandice Brown did the Animal Wrangling work on this film. This is her dog, Shiloh, starring in the movie "The Stray" which will be in Theatres this October. She did all the training on the dog herself. Really cool accomplishment. We are super excited for her! Congratulations Brandice & Shiloh!

We are so excited with how this Purina Web Film that we were able to provide Animal Wrangling services for turned out! Gabe was our animal wrangler this day, and Violets horse "Angel" got to be the star, "Sam". (Angel is a 24 year old purebred Arabian by Robyl, who was a son of our very first stallion, Royale Bay)

We are very behind on page updates his year! Here are a few pictures of a few of our first 2016 lambs.

Stubborn Elm Ranch just wrapped Wrangling on a locally filmed Western from the 1870's! Had a great time working with old friends and meeting new ones! A big thank you to Mike & Brandice Brown, R&G Horse and Wagon, Burch & Sons, Don Nerdin, Pat Cannon, Lonnie Brown, Jac Jessop, Tyler Montgomery, Ali & Michelle Call, The LaRue family, all the talented horses we were privileged to work with and to the great Cast & Crew on this film. Lots of long days, but great memories built!

CA, Long Beach – The Long Beach City Council has given initial approval to a mandatory spay/neuter ordinance. AKC GR sent letters opposing this proposal, issued legislative alerts, and worked with local fanciers to educate legislators about the ineffectiveness of mandatory spay/neuter laws. AKC has informed city officials that we will no longer consider Long Beach as a site for the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship which had previously been held there from 2006-2010

We are so lucky and blessed to have a few of this beautiful, old & rare dog breed call Stubborn Elm Ranch "home"!

It's Iceland's only native dog breed, and if we get to meet one, it'll be the closest many of us will come to a real Viking; Icelandic Sheepdogs came to their land with the Vikings almost 1,200 years ago and for this reason, they're known as the "dog of the Vikings."

"Icies" adapted their work style to the local terrain which served their owners well while tending to sheep, cattle,and horses. They're thought to be one of the oldest breeds of dogs in the world, and though their numbers are still small, they've been growing in popularity since being recognized by the AKC in 2010.
