Another good evening of riding Majic for 15 minutes. This time Rene just walked ahead of him while I rode. Everything went quite well. Majic wasn’t sure about leaving him but I managed to divert him a few strides. I can see where I need to get back on the ground to help him with his stops and backup and start to put in the leg aids more clearly. He tries with courage and calmness but was confused a bit. So back to ground work for a few days. I always want him to feel secure and work at his pace with feel and timing. What fun this is. To teach and learn again from this big guy!

A stunning sunset closed an evening I won’t forget soon.
It was my first ride in the arena on Majic. The barn owner Rene led Majic for me as a safeguard.
Majic was perfect! Relaxed and cooperative and enjoying a bit of treat at times. He took to his training so well and we have developed a lovely bond and had fun.
I’m so lucky he came into my life. I gave excited about our future fun and activities!!
The ride video was just the last half of the ride. Thank you Majic for the lovely ride.

What a fabulous day playing with Majic and Sundance Kid.
🐴. Lessons on helping them feel ok without rest of the herd with them in arena. Scores out of 10 - Majic 6, Kid- 6. Good start boys!
🐴 Loading lessons, each loaded in a different-new to them trailer. Scores tied again at 9 each.
🐴 saddle wearing - Sundance’s first time wearing a saddle - Score 5, but 10 for showing me 4 rounds of super fast circling when he decided he would try to outrun it. Then he settled right down.
Stirrups we’re tied up, not flapping.
saddle wearing - Majic. Old pro with 3 times wearing it , no stirrups and no reactions at all. Solid 10 all around. Next time stirrups down lesson.

Each were rewarded with peaceful time grazing in the yard, very content ,connected and scored another 10 points each for being awesome.

My Mr Majic is a ringer for a past goofy horse in my life, Spirit. Yet…Majic is his own brand of special.

Majic and his sidekick Sundance Kid have a play time this afternoon. They just make me giggle. I think I will have them join a circus! LOL

Majic had a lesson today in “understanding our body space” and “ yes you can leave me on a 15 ft line and walk around”. And “I agree that it’s hard to leave your buddies but don’t worry. we will always return… and I’ll show you a fun time”

Majic.. my new horse that is truly a pleasure to be around. He loves people and hanging out.
Today he had spa time from 3 boys grooming him in his stall. He almost went to sleep in the process. What a great guy!

Zoie also relaxes while A young fella sits up on her. Trust, peace and Patience wins a horse’s heart.

July 14th
First time with a ba****ck pad on. No halter, no reaction. Thank you Sydney Mack for raising this horse so well. He truly is Majic.
Also getting used to our Tucker dog. He wanted to chase him. Tucker is too horse wise to get caught!
