Mamakitty's House Mamakitty's House promotes the prevention of cruelty to animals in Hawaii.

Achieving The Hawaii SPCA mission of increasing the saving of companion animals lives to 99% or better is not complicated, but it does require replacing the traditional model of animal sheltering which is passive, complacent and plagued by convenience killing, with a proactive, can-do attitude and work ethic that rejects killing. The programs of the No Kill Equation require dedication and effort a

nd for this reason, are sometimes portrayed by the traditional sheltering establishment as “controversial.” They are not. They are simple procedures that Americans would be shocked to learn shelters are not already doing. "THIS IS WHAT YOU SHALL DO ...
..Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body.”

Aloha team, funds needed please!

You may remember Mary? Abandoned in Kapolei by her owner? Sweet as pie and just a snugglepuss!
She is thriving with us and coming out of her shell. She had an appointment today for some dermal issues with her paws & ears. Infection, bacteria and buildup cause her to itch & scratch and cry and itch & scratch some more. The amazing peeps at AAVS and Dr. Grey have got her on a course to clear everything up. It was a bit expensive for us though and we need to ask for funds to help pay her $300 Veterinary Tab.

Here’s Solo after hours, living up to his name. If you’ve visited us at all in the last 5 months, you know him, because he’s the one who almost always sneaks into the shoe room, demonstrating why we have two doors. 🙃 We imagine him enjoying life with a person or family that can appreciate his energy and silly behavior. We’d like to think that’s what he imagines, too, as he looks out the window, into the night sky.

We heard there are so many spots still left open for FREE MICROCHIPS! 😳
How is this possible? Are people waiting for door-to-door microchipping?? Because they’re going to wait long time for that to happen! 😆
Seriously though.
We can’t believe more people have not jumped on this opportunity to get their dog or cat microchipped for F R E E!

People have been remarking about not being able to get their dogs or cats in to various vets for wellness exams, annuals, f***l tests, etc. Here is the time to get it done and at a low cost!

❤️Both adopted❤️

SMOKEY (adopted)
Smokey is a super sweet “please be with me” kitty who responds to your voice as well as your attention. He looks you straight in the eye when you talk with him as if he really wants to understand. He loves and plays with his brother Big George, his perfect partner.

BIG GEORGE
Big George is a smart kitty who LOVES to play and run about. Big George attacks his brother with glee, always hoping to start “something”, which he calls FUN. They curl up with and love on each other often. Smokey and Big George are a perfect pair and will bring so much joy!

Both are fixed and ready for a furever home! Preference will be to a home that will adopt both together. If you are interested, please fill out a questionnaire at https://forms.gle/g2hc36TmWMVkLxzz5 or message us at [email protected]

We have an amazing support system for dog food (we are working on the cat & now rabbit & guinea pig food supply issues). We are so close to reaching our monthly goal!
We need just 108 more people to sign on as $20 a month reoccurring donors. Can you donate to help ensure our little sanctuary will be safe and endure? We get by with a little help from our friends.
