The first little one made their entrance around 8:30 PM on April 24th, and Stevie wasted no time powering through the rest like the total rockstar she is. The last puppy snuck in sometime during the early morning hours. I was so tired and busy making sure everyone stayed warm and safe that I did not note the exact times. Everything was so quick and they just kept coming!
Stevie was due May 1st. We are obviously a little early. All of the babies are a little smaller than I expect. Size of the litter could play a role as well. A few of these babies are teeny-tiny, but thanks to Emily’s tip about the Puppy Warmer (seriously, MVP. THANK YOU EMILY), we were able to warm, dry, and give a little extra TLC to the smallest of this bunch. I also did a few supplemental feedings just to give them the best start possible.
I’m thrilled to say that everyone is thriving!
I did not plan for 11 names, so bear with me while I put my creative cap on and get these little ones properly introduced!
