Our Res-Que Family wants to wish all of you a very Happy New Year. The video below represents only a small portion of the approximately 300 dogs that were saved this past year in 2024. We would not be able to do this without the amazing support of all of you! Thank you all so very much for your likes, shares, and donations to Res-Que. When we say Res-Que family, we truly believe it. All of you make our family complete! We can not wait to see what amazing saves, homes, and dogs this new year brings ❤️ Karen, Lori, and the Res-Que fosters
Res-Que Family our 10th night of our celebration of the 12 nights of Christmas, is indeed a very special one. When we say that we have a great working relationship with Washoe County Regional Animal Services it also includes adoptions! Zoula is a very special and lucky girl indeed. Our Res-Que family was lucky to add a very special adopter to our midst when the Director of Washoe County Regional Animal Services, Shyanne Schull, agreed to foster a dog we knew was a breed she had experience with. And as they say...the rest is history. It was a love match ❤️ And yes... even she had to go through all of our homechecks and paperwork to adopt (talk about awkward 🫣😂). Here is Zoulas story.
Zoula was a shy girl, and living in the shelter was hard on her. As soon as she got out of the kennel, she attached to human interaction and showed her sweet and gentle personality. She was a foster who we fell in love with. She is quirky and energetic, and most of all, she adores her mom and dad, and sisters. She loves hiking camping, going out with mom on horse trails. She is the most loveable dog we have ever had.
Cya here! It seems that a lot of my foster friends have been getting their forever homes lately, and I wanted to show off my playful side! I am still available and seeking my forever home. I am great with dogs of all sizes, even the small grumpy ones 😳😂 I love to play, run, and would be great for someone who enjoys hiking. Don't let my rowdies fool you though...I am also a snuggle bug at heart and would love a nice cozy lap to lay on. I may be shy at first. But once I open up, I will shower you with love and attention. I am about a year and a half old, long and lanky but smaller than I look (about 40 pounds). I am also available for a special program Res-Que is offering- its called the foster to adopt program 😀 See, you get to bring me home as a foster! We see how we do together. Whether we mesh, you know? Res-Que supplies everything I need as your foster, and we see how we do. I think we will do just fine, but, my Res-Que family wants to make sure they are giving me every opportunity to have my forever home before Christmas 🎄 ❤️ If you would like to chat more about me please fill out the preliminary application at www.res-que.org and my foster will get back in touch with you! Thanks so much!!
Welcome Vinny to Res-Que from our wonderful Washoe County Regional Animal Services. He is the smaller puppy in the video. The other dog is the resident dog. This video is very special because little Vinny ALMOST didn't make it to our rescue. He was another frightened puppy in a loud scary shelter, that was showing some bad behavior, or I should say scared behavior, there is a big difference. Let's face it, no matter how nice or clean the shelter is or how great the staff is to the animals, its just a scary place. This video is 100% what rescue is all about. A foster taking a chance on a scared dog and her dog teaching the foster...Hey dude, life is great, let's play. All our fosters personal dogs play a huge part in helping to relieve anxiety and stress, it's amazing to watch. Vinny is about 4ish months old. The shelter had him as a Pitbull but we see other breeds in the mix...maybe Great Dane, Mastiff, Weimaraner, Vizsla. He's a gorgeous champagne color.
Carson City Today. It's a beautiful day to come see us. Nevada State Railroad Museum until 4ish.
How do you say no to this? Well, you don't. Welcome Brewster to Res-Que .
A huge shout out to Casey at Washoe County Regional Animal Services for working with Brewster and helping him overcome being petrified. He went from growling and snapping to, pick me, pick me, I'm a good boy. Not adoptable yet but soon. He is "possibly", Spaniel, Chihuahua, Terrier. We do know, he's cute.
