What's this you say? An African Grey Parrot? NO, it's a spoiled brat! Trying to get some work done this morning, and I stopped and got up to get some watermelon. Next thing I know, the brat is SCREAMING. Wow, I get up and rush to her cage thinking she's hurt, or caught or something bad, but nope. She's just sitting on her perch giving me a sideways glance.

I sit back down, take a bite of fruit, and the screaming starts again. WTF???? Apparently the brat figured out I was eating watermelon and was offended I didn't offer her any.

I don't like to reinforce the screaming, so I waited until she calmed down, without taking another bite myself because I knew that would set her off again. I got up and nicely asked her if she would like some melon. She did this cute little whisper sound that she often uses to answer me, so I offered her a piece.

Quiet, happy bird for a few moments, until she ran out of fruit, and I was still eating it. I had to stop eating and put it away because I knew she had enough, but the screaming wasn't going to stop!

Such a brat!
