IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO ADOPT!

Has anyone told you that you missed your window on adopting a cat? I call BS! It's never too late.

If that’s you, here’s what I wish someone told (younger) me when I was starting out as a cat dad.

Maybe it’ll help you navigate things better than I did at first!

1️⃣ Make a vet appointment right away.
2️⃣ Kittens are trouble makers.
3️⃣ Ginger kittens are even BIGGER trouble makers.

At the end of the day, it isn’t too late to jump into *anything* as long as it makes you happy.

In case you haven’t heard it yet today, it’s okay to not be okay. AND things will be okay again in the future.

Because I don’t know much, but I do know that what goes up must come down. So surely what’s down will go up again.

The trick is not to get stuck.😵‍💫 (Easier said than done sometimes, I know!)

But remember: things will eventually feel less sticky and be okay again.

Here’s a roadmap I use to navigate to the other side when things get tricky and sticky:

First I remind myself that these feelings will eventually pass.

Once I’ve done that, I'll find my baby boy Frank and cuddle with him.

Sometimes just those small actions are all it takes to break free and help you see that things will work out.

If you’re feeling not okay today, that’s okay! It’ll get better! My question to you is… what emoji would describe your current mood?

This month is all about Pride. But do you know why?🌈🏳️‍🌈

On June 28, 1969, the Stonewall Riots began in New York City. That kicked off the equal rights movements for the LGBTQ community.

👆 That’s why we have Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈

Of course, it’s *much* more than that simple sentence.

And the path these actions helped to create are much more involved.

But at its core, June is a month to love, support, and encourage others around you.

It’s a time to use your privilege if you have it to make a difference for those who are still discriminated against.

And a month to be compassionate to both yourself and others.

Whether you’re an ally or a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, you are welcome and safe here. 🖤

If you’re anything like me, you give it all when you’re working. There’s no half-assing. (Ron Swanson would be so proud of us.)

And I do my best to leave work “at work.” (Sometimes, I even leave work at work… early!)

I don’t know about you, but I am not a fan of grind-culture, of everyone being connected and “ON” all of the time. It’s damn exhausting!

Here’s the thing: the world will keep turning, even if we leave the “office” early once in a while.

And wouldn’tcha know… Today is Leave the Office Early Day! Sounds like a great day to do something fun with that extra time!

Whether you can legitimately sneak away from your desk early or not, take this opportunity to do something fun just because.

I think I’m going to go home and cuddle with my cat Frank.

In fact, I’m going to go do that right now. Excuse me while I get my blanket!
