It’s helpful being a dog trainer when 4 dogs need to evacuate to your home. Los Angeles is on fire and it is scary out there. Please keep your dogs inside as much as possible, wear a mask on walks and most importantly stay safe!!

Full disclosure: I am a terrible photographer.

But I do love helping Moose, a working dog, learn to listen to mom on walks in a busy neighborhood. A working dog will assign themselves a job if you don’t, so make your walks active. Add rules and expectations to help your dog know what their “job” is. You’ll be amazed how much more pleasant your walks can be when your dog isn’t constantly looking for something to do (like pulling or barking).

Happy National Dog Day!!! 🎉🥳🎉🥳🎉

I mean, isn’t every day? But any day that encourages the celebration of dogs is a good day in my book. I firmly believe that dogs are magic and can’t believe we are lucky enough to have our lives enriched by their existence.

To celebrate today I am honoring a very special dog. Holly Golightly may no longer be with us but she will always be my best friend, and how my company got its name and philosophy.

Adopting a new dog is the best! It’s also really hard. Shelters and rescues are overrun with dogs who were adopted and returned because families went into the adoption with limited information.

It hasn’t slowed him down, but this little guy has a broken leg. A result of excessive jumping.

Often we overlook less than ideal behaviors in smaller dogs because they can come across as cute or are easily thwarted. But it only takes one time to have painful and expensive consequences.
