2 for $175 or 1 for $150. All kittens are fully vetted. Spayed/Neutered, age appropriate vaccines, felv/fiv tested, flea treated and dewormed. If they are not microchip at this moment, they will be by the time of adoption. Only approved applications can schedule meet and greets.

Adopting two kittens, especially from the same litter, can be a great idea as they can provide each other with companionship, reduce loneliness, and help with socialization and energy management.

We had a very busy month of June!!!

Like most rescues, we rescued several mothers along with their kittens. We even got a few of the “dads” we think. 🤔 
We have a few kittens from late May, early June, ready for adoption. Some are on our website already and others will be added today.

We have a portion of the sanctuary completed enough that we already added a few feral residents. They are enjoying exploring and adjusting well. We still have lots of work to do and always looking for volunteers to help.

Finally, we are excited to announce that our boy Scotty and the lovely Darcy found furever homes!!! We loved them so much and sad they’re leaving but so happy for them at the same time. All you fosters know what I mean. The new families promise updates soon. ❤️

Dusty (M) and Josie (F) are looking for a home!

These kittens were found trapped in a storm drain with two of their siblings. Their mom came back for two but left Dusty and Josie 💔 Luckily, Sunshine Farm Cat Rescue was able to get them to safety!

Dusty and Josie are very playful! Josie is very social and loves people. Dusty is super curious and loves to cuddle.

Applications for both kittens together will be given priority as they get along great and really enjoy each other’s company. However, they do not need to be adopted together. If they are adopted separately, they would still really love another young cat companion to play with at home.

They are about 8.5 weeks old now.

They are fixed, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, flea treated, microchipped, tested negative for intestinal worms and parasites, and negative for FeLV.

However, they did test positive for FIV. We will re-test them prior to adoption.

If they are truly FIV+, this just means they have a slightly weakened immune system. All that means for you is that they need some extra love and care, such as keeping up with yearly vet exams and watching to make sure they don’t pick up any infections.

(Most FIV+ cats do not show symptoms and have a normal life expectancy, although they can be prone to secondary infections. FIV cats can live happily in a stable household with other kitties; FIV is not spread through normal casual contact.)

They are currently in foster care in McCandless, PA.

We have a couple exciting things in the works right now. As we mentioned we are working on our feral sanctuary and things are starting to move forward with this project. We have insulation being installed next week and will be starting the first outside enclosure early in July. The first outdoor enclosure will be 30’ by 50’ to allow the ferals in the sanctuary to enjoy the outdoors in a safe controlled area.

The other big thing is we will be starting our in house lab hopefully by mid July This will allow us to use the same equipment used in veterinary practices to run in house CBC, Chem panels, T4, SDMA and many other blood tests. Equipment is provided through IDEXX which will connect to our vetconnect plus system to keep all patient records. We will also have a urinalysis analyzer.

Doing in house testing will save us a lot of money compared to most veterinary blood testing costs. We will be offering testing for other rescues that are interested and able to get blood drawn and to us. We can print out or email the results which you can give to your veterinarian
We are still working on pricing but a CBC and Chem-15 panel should be around $75

We will be looking for volunteers or techs that can do blood draws at our location maybe on Saturdays for rescues and the public.

Lastly we have a few kittens in the rescue that will be looking for forever homes. The 4 orange boys should be ready for adoption over next 2 weeks. We also have 3x 1.5 week old babies with their mom. Once we know they are doing well we will post pictures in a couple weeks.

FOSTER SPOTLIGHT!!

Bowie is a little over 2 years old. He is neutered and UTD on vaccines. He’s an affectionate fur ball who loves to play and snuggle with his other foster friends. He will give you unconditional love for as long as he lives. He has about 50% vision in one of his eyes but that doesn't stop him! He had a very rough start being a colony kitty but really wants to be part of a loving home if someone would give him a chance!

Adoption update: Tommy

This sweet, gentle boy was rescued from an uncertain life as a stray. He quickly adapted to indoor life with his foster who gave him the time he needed to learn to trust people. When he was recently adopted by this wonderful family, he knew he was in his forever home. He loves snuggling with his human siblings and new best furfriend, Zoey.

We so happy for Tommy and getting updates like this is why we continue all the hard work.

Update on the SRU storm drain kittens. We set up a trap and it didn’t take long for these two to go in together. They are doing well and soon they will be fixed, vaccinated and up for adoption.
